Hoho. Somehow today after global beta update, I'm on VoLTE!

Sent from Xiaomi MI 6 using GAGT

I turned in my Starhub VoLTE via the following steps:

1. *#*#4636#*#*
If you're on sim card 1, go to Phone 1, sim card 2, phone 2.
Look for "VoLTE provisioned" option, turn it on.
Exit

2. *#*#86583#*#*
A note will flash saying that volte carrier check is disabled.

3. Change region to Malaysia.

Voila! Volte enabled. Test by calling a free number. I used 1633. While call is ongoing, press home button and open chrome to surf the web. If web pages load fast, then you know you're on VoLTE. Please turn off wifi or you'll get a false positive result.

My mi6 screen is flickering (if that's the right word) from time to time. Has anybody encountered this? Any customer service in Singapore?

Bought from Mi Store can go to their service centre at Eu Tong Street. If export set good luck, either go SLS try the stores or oneself DIY. Screen flicker usually not software but hardware issues. Should get it checked before it gets worse. Also backup your data while you can.

Do you have auto brightness enabled and early firmware? My mi 6 screen used occasionally rapidly adjust the brightness while indoor, appeared like it was flickering. Had to disable auto brightness.

Newer firmware seem to have fixed the problem. Has enabled auto brightness for months without noticing the rapidly adjustment. Using beta global rom.

Problem started happening only last week. It's happening from time to time even auto brightness is disabled. I think it's hardware problem.

If you want the Mi6 local set, then yes good price.
If you're looking at SD835 in general, someone shared OnePlus 5 going for $399 in the EDMW section.

So my phone screen got blackout. I went to the service center and yes they don't want to fix export set. So good luck to all who bought export set. :spin:

But I needed phone badly and I like mi6 so much so I went suntec and bought local set.

I would still find a shop to fix my other mi6 and will just give to my brother as christmas gift.

Typo about the oneself. Meant by ownself DIY(do it yourself). Just go to AliExpress to buy the LCD screen about 60 USD or from Taobao also can. Follow teardown videos on YouTube and all should be fine.

SLS is Sim Lim Square. A few shops specialise in Xiaomi stuff. Should be able to get it fixed there but suspect at least $100+

Hi. Do you know what might have caused the LCD issue? Do you think over charging or using 3rd party charger might be the cause?
