You should post this is EDMW sub forum. The responses there would probably be 10 times here... Regardless, I will give my 2 cents worth.
SG is a safe country with a decent living condition (the only natural "disaster" is flood, relatively "clean and non-corrupted" systems, stable political landscape, slowly evolving education system, relatively cheap food). These to me will be the pull factors why I'm staying put...
Now for the push factors. Ungracious behaviors from locals or foreigners. High living standards (cars and housings are ridiculously priced). What in the hell is a COE for??? My guess is to support the high paying ministers/politicians in the parliament who honestly is wayanging more than anything. 6.9 millions, WTF man? How many of these are really true blue SGrean who gets to vote?! In a country where we call home, we now become the minority... This is ridiculous. That's beside the point, this little island is already bursting with frustrated people, put in more people, it would probably explode in a pressure cooker style.

Virtually no quality of life.
Weighing push and pull factors, I would jump at a chance of living overseas or at least give it a real good try.
