I've been buying those $500+ glasses before switching to owndays... and after switching to owndays I never looked back

Really overpaid for those luxury branded ones which don't even last 1/2 as long as my owndays... and these are not even designed and produced by the luxury labels - they merely allow companies like Luxottica to design, produce, market and sell

spectacle prices are really chop carrot...100+ for a piece of plastic. granted there is industrial design and comfort design to look into, but 100+ is probably a 1000% markup on the cost of manufacture + raw materials.

Yes that is our aim, to give people the freedom to choose glasses which compliment their mood and outfit everyday. If we own several pairs of shoes, pants, shirts, why not glasses?

Definitely. My Astigma is 525 and I always paid more than $200 just on lenses..

Ngee Ann Polytechnic Optometry Centre. $5 charge for general public. Tests done by students under supervision by lecturers. I dont think there are any optical shops out there who would do an eye test for you FOC if you never purchase anything from them. Generally i think an eye test would cost between $15-20 at least.
