I didn't like owndays service. I prefer more personalized service. I go to Hazel Eye Care in Bishan. The owner Hazel is really nice, she does very detail eye consultation for free and gave very professional advice since she's an optometrist, not just a regular optician. Totally not pushy and very thorough in explaining. I even had my eye pressure tested even though I was getting a simple pair of glasses for myopia. I appreciate the expertise and professionalism overall.

how much glasses there cost?

Ngee Ann Polytechnic Optometry Centre. $5 charge for general public. Tests done by students under supervision by lecturers. I dont think there are any optical shops out there who would do an eye test for you FOC if you never purchase anything from them. Generally i think an eye test would cost between $15-20 at least.

today appointment full, must take note whether np open, at least 1.5h (student slow), make lens only from S$100

Singapore polytechnic also has

Sent from Samsung SM-G930F using GAGT

wah 1.5hrs, must be alot of tests? quite worth for 5 bucks

SP one i cannot find any appointment link

My family always make specs at Glimpse at Queensway. Hipster type shop with good prices and loads of stylish frames.

Any recommendation to make "old man" specs for reading? Have never wear specs before. What should be the features i should look out for?

I just got into running and would like to get a pair of sunglasses for day time running as I have really sensitive eyes.

I did some search and it seems that Under Armour zone 2.0 and Nike Tailwind 12 are good choices. Any one has any feedback on these? Or where would be a good place to purchase them at other than the boutiques - am thinking the boutiques would have fixed/higher price in general?
