Pants and trousers are pretty much the same. Khaki is commonly used to describe a colour - a brownish beige. Chinos are a specific kind of cotton trousers first worn as fatigues by the military, I believe. Khaki is one of most common colours for chinos.

Check out Muji and Uniqlo for beige chinos.

Looks very good actually.

Price is pretty close to what I paid for my current tailor. Is yours egyptian 2 ply?

hi bro
yes..its egyptian 2 ply..but i guess even egyptian 2 ply got differing standards..if not why some shop can quote 70+(newcastle) others quote 120-150=)

think most importantly is you are actually comfortable with the material..i like this material more than the 1 i did in newcastle even though both also egyptian 2 ply

I am not referring to the tailors mentioned in this post.
I think much of what is touted as Egyptian cotton may not be as such. I also don't understand the fascination with Egyptian cotton. No doubt the quality of raw cotton is important to the eventual quality of the cloth. What is equally if jot more important is the processing of the cotton and weaving of the cloth.

Try cloths from say Alumo, Thomas Mason, Grandi & Rubinelli or Carlo Riva, and one could appreciate the difference.

Pretty sure Riva and Alumo will run quite high but they feel so luxurious, well worth the cost.
DJ Anderson is pretty good too.

Correct but some people don't know the difference between 2 ply and egyptian 2 ply.

I'm more concerned with the workmanship. Just wanted to dbl confirm the cloth type at the price level. Really cheap for a tailor operating in CBD.
