i've heard their aftersales service really sucks bad
the next tailor i'm going to try is Joe's or CYC

Not only aftersales sucks but the shirts and pants i made from there is very lousy fit. Now i make my clothes from Michael Chain tailor which is a few units away. However this Michael Chain is always not in the shop.

nv tried men's tradition before... their business seems to be quite good though.. maybe cos "a lot of bankers make their clothes there"(ya i've heard this before) so maybe these bankers do a sales pitch for their tailor as well lol
i do my clothes at Tessuti also a few units away but gonna try Joe's soon

Done mine at Personality. Personally I like Eric's candid style of telling me what suits me and what dun.

i'm been a satisfied customer of CYC for several years. if you are not choosy about fabric, they have simple plain colour fabrics for about $79-99 during sales (if white, may be a bit thin). most of the wrinkle free cotton fabrics run about $120-160, weaved fabrics (herringbone, twill etc) may be up to $220. the egyptian cotton, if i recall correctly, is above $280 - never tried before.

i thought PAP tailors at CYC... now go to Oxford as well?
:s13:

Sorry for the late response. I have been pre-occupied with visiting the heartlands and shaking hands and sanitizing repeatedly, you know, the usual routine. The younger generation of MPs have our clothes tailored at Oxford now, CYC is for the traditional chums ;)

How do you guys rate Men's Tradition at Peninsula Plaza?

Been making all my shirts and pants there, as do most of my colleagues. Their bz seems to be thriving and all, any comments about the place?

Happy with the stuff I got there so far, but am wondering if I should look around see if got better places.

i did a few shirts there wif eric, cost me $60 each

i think his measurement of clothes not so zai, cos i also tailor my clothes at some other shops where i felt the fit was better. i think taking measurements is an impt skill for ppl like eric as he doesn't go hands down to make the clothes. his measurements have to be gd to ensure a good fit

dunno if his clothes will get hairy hairy after frequent washing though as i rotate my clothes quite often...after having them for abt 8 mths so far so gd

his shop is way too messy compared to oxford or cyc but price wise i like it

This shop also in Peninsula?
Shop name is Tradition tailor???

$60 quite cheap leh. What material u use???

honestly i dunno wud material...but very comfortable to wear and touch
and i feel the quality is better than $70 type from Personality or Oxford

the tailor told me it's egyptian cotton...but at this price i doubt it's the better quality ones

those technical terms like 2 ply, 1 ply, sea-island, egyptian, pima...blah
i never know what the hell they are...i wear liao comfortable den ok lo
i dun own enuff of each to tell the diff yet, so for now haf to rely on the tailor's words...

to me shld be higher the quality better the price
but at $60/shirt at men's tradition i think can try 1 or 2 and see how

$60 is probably single ply 100% cotton.
my bro did a 100% cotton shirt at mens tradition before and i the material, while soft, is too thin and flimsy it clings to your body ie. nipple shape/colour can be seen...
