hey bros, my shirt got stained with red wine after a night out

anyone can tell me if dry cleaning would remove the stains? thanks

Dry cleaning is not meant for stain removal, its for cleaning of fabrics that will be ruined by water.

Professional cleaners can help with tough stains but home remedies are able to rescue most of the time. The longer the stain stays the harder to remove.

Whenever possible I will rush to the toilet, use toilet paper to absorb the stain from spreading and apply a bit of water and hand soap to the affected area. If it is able to remove the stain, dry with hand dryer.

If not able to remove, just leave it and DO NOT APPLY HEAT, will permanently set in the stain. Even if still visible, early action will make it easier to remove the stain when you reach home.

Completely handmade. I sewed the tips using sewing machine, hand stitched the tie keeper and back. The lining joint is hand stitched as well. Material was cut from scratch.

I gave this tie away. I have another one that is completely hand sewn, including all the joints and tip.

Will PM you if I can send it over! I using it for a wedding.

If you can embroider monogram on your ties, it will be wonderful.

TOT is very overpriced for a BKK tailor, especially when they are newcomers...

Since when did Crown have fixed prices? I read on another thread that they inflate the initial price (especially for ang mos), so need a lot of bargaining. This info makes me distrust them. Unless you can tell me the price you got for each shirt for the different options?

I just looked on TOT's site after you said the price thing and you're right - pretty pricey! But sometimes quality comes with a price tag? I guess i'll never know. If anyone does try them out, do share!

for Crown, i've shopped with them many, MANY times and it's always 1000-1500 in their basic range based on cotton range and then they have their high end 3k.

Personally never felt they have different price as all friends and others that i sent over got offered same price everytime. Email to check?

Crown is so expensive?! Wow, might as well go Tanika and Milan.

Thanks for the info though. :):)

Slim lapels are just no-no man. 3" is minimum for me. I went 4" on my latest batch of suits, freakin' love em. Will post pics if I ever get around to taking them

How is the workmanship for Marcella? Is it good? Is the quality of the shirt good?

Quality seems to be improving (My bro uses them - I've stopped).

The thing though is that, I think they need more training in measuring people up.
If you have an existing shirt you like, you can get them to duplicate the measurements.
When they measure you, that's when I think they fall a bit short. At least to me.

Then again it's about Value. At that price point, i think it's good Value

Have actually visited the place where they make Marcella shirts, tried on some which were made under a different brand (same factory), wasn't exactly pleased with the outcome. Its good value for money, but finishing remains average at best.

Was it the one at Toa Payoh? If yes, mine came from there too.
But I think they have shifted production overseas.
At least, from what I see from my brother's shirts, it looks like the quality has improved.

They have a buy 3 get 1 free promotion now, i am tempted to try them :)

Yes their measurements are almost there but still a bit away from perfect fit. Staff not experienced in judging the not usual body shapes.

Value wise is ok when on sale but will be a longer wait. Otherwise I find on par with the average budget tailor.

3 + 1 offer sounds good but I think must bring a new customer or some other terms and cond.
