Yes their measurements are almost there but still a bit away from perfect fit. Staff not experienced in judging the not usual body shapes.

Value wise is ok when on sale but will be a longer wait. Otherwise I find on par with the average budget tailor.

3 + 1 offer sounds good but I think must bring a new customer or some other terms and cond.

I just gave them a shot. You don't need to be a new customer. But you need to head down to the shop to do it.

Paid $207 (69*3) for 4 shirts. Hope they don't disappoint me :)

The fitting looks good. But I think a 3" lapel will make you look sharper instead.

I disagree. Given arc's build and chest frame, I think this bolder 4" lapel with a high gorge fits him nicely. Looks like Iris is doing well on that open quarters there.

With regards to Arc's coat:

Maiden post on here, and I can think of no better way to jump-start my stay on here by posting on this coat, on this thread.

Sweet coat. Looks like Iris is doing a good job, and has Arc's pattern down flat.

I think the lapels are a little over-sized though, and think 3.25-5 inch lapels would probably work better :)

your shoulders slope 45 deg, or were you hunching in that photo?

I think that the lapel is a bit too big too. 3 - 3.25" max for this kind of jacket. To some extent, the patch pockets are also oversized for your body. It leans too far out to the side for a slim fit suit.

Pants are SPOT on in my opinion.

difficult to tell the fit of the pants from such a pic. can't see the waist or the back, which are the area where the fit is most important.

Pants are not spot on. I've had better pants made in the past, but my weight fluctuated before and after reservist.

I'm not hunching, unfortunately. I also want straighter shoulders, but alas...

I guess lapels are a personal preference. I can't appreciate slimmer or "normal" width lapels. I workout, and prefer something that complements my efforts in the gym.

Arc have really long arms. If using the curl knuckle to compare jacket lenght then it would be way too long.

Have actually visited the place where they make Marcella shirts, tried on some which were made under a different brand (same factory), wasn't exactly pleased with the outcome. Its good value for money, but finishing remains average at best.

Ha. I know which place you are referring to. Well, Marcella claims that the fabric for the shirts are now laser-cut for every individual in China wor. I doubt it, because if it is so, it won't take 2 weeks for a shirt. Not to defame them, they might have done so now. Certainly wasn't the case one year back, though then they already said they own a factory in China.

Price point, can't beat them though.

I am wondering how That Shirt Shop is able to offer Egyptian cotton at $99 when other places like CYC charges around $165?

"peninsular grade" egyptian 2 ply cotton also got $100> :s13:

It's often the case that these 2-ply fabrics are nothing more than blatant falsity.

I'm in HK now, and I recently visited the famous fabric wholesale shops. I saw bolts of fabrics with the selvage (description on the cloth) indicating the fabrics are a cashmere-wool mix.

However, the card describing the fabrics indicated it is a wool-polyester mix.

Describing the fabrics as 2 ply is inherently deceptive. Ask if it's 2 by 2 ply. :)
