From what moi read up, newer teebees (or newer panel screens to be precise) of today are made notch to last long .. years back, maybe if chiu buy those big names eg. samsuck, lg, sony etc it can last chiu up to 8-10 yrs with proper care or maintenance ..

back in 2013, moi bought Panasonic Smartviesta 3D teebee for moi parents.. till today still working well, albeit some flickering black lines at the bottom start to appear since 1 mth+ ago ..

foresee that it gonna spoil sooner or later, sho moi wanna do some "research" nao .. later once spoil, str8 buy riao ..
All tv now have some form of planned obsolescence. Most tv power supplies use lower spec capacitors and just enough ventilation to passively cool the component. The capacitors is a sort of timed self destruct.

I think xiaomi is one of the rarer tv brands to have heatsink for the chipset.

Why dun consider mainstream Brand’s like Samsung or Lg? saw 2 of my neighbours buy prism, so should be okay bah
Those 2 brands are for Roberts.

TS I bought TCL instead. This brand is very popular in the US for budget segment.

For smart tv need to check what os and app store.

At least the brand has to support OS updates.
talk about app store, then you need to get android TV.
talk about 4K, the processor needs to be able to play 4K smoothly eg, frame and audio
pay 1 cent get 1 cent goods.

For 4k monitor, i will go for $500-600, damage throw.

After doing some reading up, found out that new LED teebee of today are "made notch to last long" regardless of what brand chiu buy (notch sure abt other panels) .. in most cases, the panel will fail in abt 3-4 yrs .. if chiu lucky maybe can stretch till 5 yrs .. but maybe if chiu buy those "premium" eg. OLED or MLED teebee from those big brand names then can tahan longer ..

therefore moi notch interested to pay more for those big guns Sony, samsuck etc LED teebees .. normal LED enuf for moi, as moi dun watch teebee quite often anyway .. also, simi QLED OLED etc all that out of moi range as too "pricey" ..

thus, moi hv narrow down to this 2 "budget" brands TCL and Prism (local brand) .. which one of these 2 wud chiu all budget teebee users recommend ?
for me is secret labs

Note that prism is subbrand of Hisense
So you are comparing Hisense vs TCL lol
