Best quality one is those certified by DisplayPort themselves, you might need to check their OEM company and compare it with the list on the DisplayPort website.

I would recommend UGreen because of the high quality build and also the fact that I have never ran into issues with their products.

Personally I prefer UGREEN over VENTION.
If I were you, I will buy this.

so 2 votes UGREEN
But they actually have 2 versions i m guessing the only diff is the gold plated vs non.
is gold plated really that important?

I feel its just marketing to segregate their products. I actually don't really see a difference between gold plated, vs the generic connectors when it comes to display cables. Even for audio cables, I can't really tell if that really makes a difference in sound output.

I am more concern about the cable quality and shielding instead of gold plated connectors.

I tend to stick to VESA certified cables although they tend to be a few dollars more expensive. It's a great investment for me so far considering I previously own 2 DP cables that had very annoying flickering issues. Then again, it's a small sample size so can't say anything conclusive.

AFAIK, gold plating helps against corrosive in the long term as compared to the convention silver and the general consensus is that it will survive more plugging and unplugging. I personally think quality and proper shielding of the cable is more relevant over gold plating though.

Bought quite a few items from Ugreen because of their quality build at affordable price.

Dont buy those that are not VESA certified. You will have issue running 10bit color due to bandwidth limitation.

wait what. i understand if you buy those cheap monitor, they probably won't even give you a dp cable. but if you spend 400+, i'm quite sure the dp they provide is vesa certified :s11:

No such thing. Bought a $900 monitor and the provided cable is non VESA certified.

Do note that ugreen the connector is quite fat. I cannot insert into the dp port of my dell 32 inch when I had it. Refunded and bought direct from startech.
