Got a chance to drive a Hyndai I30 Hatchback for my Great Occean Road Trip.

Compared to my 10yrs Toyota Axio.

I30 has more horsepower and better stability at high speed beyond 130km/h.

I30 is well equipped with reverse camera and good body build.

I30 drinks fuel (unleaded 91) like water, especially when u activate it's TURBO to feel it's power. Very ideal for Highway travelling, not so good for urban roads.

I drove I30 in the states. Its small car not meant for freeway. It feels filmsy and unsafe amongst the bigger cars on the freeway.
Sg still ok as its small urban area. And drivers here mostly not crazy as those in states.

Depends on how do you define as reliable..

What reliability could means to me:
- lower frequency of unwarranted breakdowns (if you don’t service your car regularly as prescribed and it breakdowns 10times, this one not counted here)
- parts reliability - availability of parts when replacements are required (jap car parts more prevalent than say a Spainish brand?) and its associated lifespan.. if a part actual lifespan > prescribed lifespan => reliable
- maybe can include.. turnaround time for to perform a quality replacements/repairs - in this area, jap cars are generally more “reliable” than others, cos the car mechanics are generally more familiar (and able to do a quality work) and take shorter time to do a repair for jap cars..
- others.. well, if there are any which you could think of.. warranty? Longer warranty may means dealers are more confident abt their products, implying reliability?

Of cos I don’t think it is fair to sterotype jap cars as more reliable than others cos for jap cars, there may be models that are not so reliable.. ie. more unwarranted breakdowns and longer turnaround time for replacements..

Are electric cars reliable? Yes and no, depends on geographical.. maybe yes, in America but locally, I doubt it is reliable for now..

I also think reliability has nothing to do with fuel consumption too..

no choice! taking i30 (turbo car) compare with Axio (non-turbo car)?

just like taking Civic Turbo and compare to Avante? will also reply the samething too（对事 不对人）
