I got the coolermaster hyper 212+ at $48 coupled weeks back when it was on promotion at Fuwell. Sadly the promotion ended, back to $59... i was thinking of buying more for my future PCs.

At $48, there is no other cpu cooler around the price that has the same level of performance. And most important to me, it comes with backplate. For big cpu coolers, I will never use those flimsy intel pushpins again.

Hope Denniz/Ban Leong will have an offer again for the Hyper 212+ or better yet, offer for V8

Yah ... I saw the review for CM Hyper 212+ .... it is quite value for money,
bang for buck.

$48 is really a good price!! Yes, now it is $59 again.

4 shortlisted :

1. CoolerMaster V8 - $85
2. Iceage Prima Boss II - $89 (Good review from FrostyTech)
3. CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ - $59 (Cheapest with decent performance)
4. Noctua U12P-SE - $99

Ok .... heading to SLS later .... must decide fast.

If base on this chart....

3R System iCEAGE Prima Boss II should perform better than Noctua U12P SE2....

unless it show otherwise....

Frankly ... using this Iceage Prima Boss II .... is not bad.

Under normal usage .... the temp is only about 3-5 deg C above ambient.

For those that wants to post your readings .... please give ambient temp
as reference or "no of deg C above ambient".

I saw 2 Asus HSF ... can't remember which one .... but the box looks cool.

When I got the Iceage Prima Boss II .... I bought it based on reviews and
"gut feel".

I was able to just use a 120mm fan which I bought awhile back to use as
a 2nd fan .... which makes me realised one thing "hey ... if the fan is spoilt
you can just change the fan".

For those HSF with "customised" fan ... like in the case for Asus Silent
Knight II .... if fan spoilt ... then got to buy a whole new HSF liaoz.

But it looks quite cool tho ...

Just my 2 cents worth.
