Which External HDD to get?

So seagate ok or not ? i biught 2hd somemore 4tb de

For seagate ones I rma once and it started to show bad sectors within 3 months after got back...

Only saw the external large capacities for Seagate or WD. The bulky ones

The WD was @ 169 for 4TB and 259 for 6TB. 3 yrs warranty and 1 yr data recovery.

Unsure whether to get that two brands thus decided to wait for the Sitex ones...Hope got more promotions and more brands.

PS I meant to say Seagate marginally higher. But the diff is so marginal it's barely significant.

Seagate have higher market share so naturally got more ppl spoil.

Is there a way to get the windows into an external hard disk and run from it? Or another internal hard disk?

u can run on both internal and ext hdd. but im not sure how to get it work on ext hdd (although did read on 1 article quite some time ago.)

but is there any reasons u need to get it work on ext hdd?

other solutions probably is for u to seek your suppiler/vendors for expert help since we are unsure what u want to do. (beside just replacing your main OS disk with another new internal hdd?? )

if u are referring to the crashed hard disk, maybe, but most prolly not unless u wanna do some high level **** like removing individual disks inside blah blah

if u are referring if u can load a new windows into a external hdd, and use it as as tho its an internal hdd, yes you can. just set ur bios to boot from usb..

If you still have the cd key, you can do a fresh install on the new storage device (ssd or hdd).

Internal is recommended for Desktops since there is most probably plenty of hdd bays.

Not much variety nowadays as in the end not as many hdd makers as there used to be.

Might as well go with any brand that offers free data recovery if the hdd fails.
