i have seen 2 courses there that im interested
msc in finance and intl biz & marketing

theres no course fee listed there too
but i feel the programme is decent

any feedback about this school ?

I'm currently based in NY. Are you referring to NYU? If you are, then it is a reputable school. You might also want to check out Cornell too, another reputable school.

UK MBA

Hi All,

Been following this thread and shortlisted the following UK Schools in terms of value for money and went for the MBA preview lately:

1) Birmingham (I feel good about this school even though only a few turn up at the preview)
2) Bradford (I went for the preview and will probably rank this school last as it will be taught by local tutors...)
3) Strathclyde (I think you guys have shared enough on the TES --> YMCA)
4) Nottingham (Not too sure about this school, though the preview has good turn out)

Have you tried Manchester or Lancaster? I think Manchester has a preview coming up soon.

One of the key things you can look out for during preview is the class demographics. What type of students the programme attracts? Afterall, one of the key value of a good MBA programme is the level and quality of networking opportunities. You certainly do not wish for a class that are fresh grads with little learning and networking opportunities.

Hi Kenneth,

Yup, I went for MBS last year, is really impressive. But due to budget constraint, I will be limiting myself to the other 4.

Not too sure about Lancaster though. Might take a look at them next. Thanks

Hi Guys,
Just attended the first Strathclyde class and an intro session. 34 students in all, which is about the max intake. YMCA has hired two executives Kelvin and Tricia to handle the admin duties. So, far they have been very prompt in addressing the needs of students. The principal, Elijah and GM, Lynette were also at hand to lend assistance. Classes were conducted well, the facilities were comfortable and I especially like my cohorts, who are mostly young executives. It may be too early to say everything is ok at YMCA, but I am impressed so far:)

Hi Jimmy,
Care to share the make-up of your cohort? Ratio of locals to foreigners (including PRs)?

I am considering between Bradford and Strathclyde MBA and have a hard time choosing between. I come from a engineering/sales background and finance is tradational area.

Strathclyde seems to be good but I am not sure if the lecturer actually teach as I am not very good in hardcore finance related are. t there any one who has is taking Bradford or Sttathclyde MBA and can adivse me on that?

What about the assignment/ exams? Which is easier?
