Anyone currently doing their Strathclyde MBA at YMCA? How is the situation now? Have they managed to iron out the teething problems with admin support, etc.?

What teething problems are you talking about? I have a friend who's taking Strathclyde MBA at YMCA. There are some minor admin issues such as changing deadlines for assignments and handing-up of projects. I don't see any major issues with these.

A thing I couldn't understand is why they only accept hardcopy reports. That's about it.

Hi Folks,

Desperate to get some feedback. I wish to get an MBA degree. I know it won't help me jump position immediately. I just want to learn, well, do some long term investment.
I have gotten the offers from NTU & NUS. This is my profile
Experience: 4 yrs (2 yrs in Eng & 2 yrs in Biz)
1st Degree: NTU, 1st class
Personal life: No kid, hubby also going back to school
I learned a lot from this forum (Thanks FOLKS =:p) that Strath & MBS might be a better consideration. Esp when my 1st degree is quite enough of those rigid NTU structure
Please folks... help me decide....
Dunno what to do next! Moreover, I haven't started applying for those 2. Sigh....

hardcopy is probably for audit purposes...audit is so low tech can only audit hardcopies one..

I am a current student ,Jan 10 semester. I appreciate the efforts the sch puts in, in the alumni activity. The sch arranged an image presentation workshop just for my cohort, before the start . As I enrolled early, I was invited to all the alumni activities before the start of the class. So far, I like what I see.

Having said that, the fees is a steal for me, as I am lucky to be awarded the SPRING Singapore scholarship , so just have to pay around 4k plus for the entire course. So no complains about it. If you are working in SME, you can try applying for the scholarship to reduce your cost.

My cohort around 60 plus students ( according to the director) . My class around 30 pple, tink mostly mid thirties .
They have this mentorship programme and a strong career services portal which I tink might be useful if one wants to change career. Not for me though, as I will be bonded to my company .

You can PM me if you need more info.
