Which memory for Ryzen?

1. G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3200Mhz C16 16Gb x2 - $309
2. G.Skill Trident Z NEO 3600Mhz C18 16Gb x2 - $319

Price difference only $10, which one is more recommended?

that is just base on "latency" not Bandwidth.

if you got money to throw just go 3600 cl18 although there are better offer i think on amazon

becoz the difference, most layman won't understand
ram timing doesn't has just one number but 5 different numbers which usually you only told the first 4

so if u really want a real comparison
u need compare all the ram timings and not just the latency timing

yes agree. I never see my machine memory usage over 16GB, unless run the memory stress testing use Prime95. if choose again, I would take 8GBx2 memory and spend the saved 100$ for bigger SSD.

i spent $228 on the same ram over at amazon .

i presume u must be using ryzen 3000 series cuz for my 2600 increase higher than 3200 = BSOD

32GB has it's use when u are multi-tasking while playing and i am 1 of % that require 32GB to maintain smoothness while multi-tasking. If you are just gaming nia then of course 16GB is enough

I'm not into gaming.
My current 8yrs old rig 24Gb (upgraded 4yrs ago) sometimes ran out of memory.
I use some memory for ram drive.

While RAM price is low, I would take the opportunity to go for 32GB if I can afford the $100. It will not be $100 when you want to upgrade a few years later.

2-3 years ago, people thought 8 GB was the sweet spot.

few years later, we will be on DDR5

that said, makes sense to pick up another 16GB when it is so cheap now
