Engine oil additive yield the most FC for me
Rubbish idea you have..
You want to save money on petrol yet you go and buy additive, spend more money instead.
Engine oil additive yield the most FC for me
What car U driving?
Most CVT transmission slow in pick up so maybe more fuel efficient![]()
IMHO, method 1 is suited for highway driving whereas method 2 for city driving with lots of start stop traffic.![]()
No turbo lah bro.Just down 2 gears and rev it hard let turbo kick in. No need care about fc.![]()
Was driving a 1.6 CVT, now is 1.6 Auto. Can feel the difference since CVT was 4 gears (?) and this auto gearbox is 6.
Thanks. Now trying out method 1 and see. While the car is moving faster now, i don't enjoy hearing the engine at high rev. Maybe i will get used to it.![]()

For the 2 style of driving i have below, which one would you think is more fuel saving?
1. Accelerate hard so that the car shifts into the highest gear as soon as possible. The thinking behind this style is that the highest gear is more fuel efficient. This would mean rev to maybe 3k RPM to get the gearbox to switch asap.
2. Accelerate slowly, keeping the rev to below 2.5k RPM. Maybe reach the next junction also won't get to shift to 3rd of 4th gear but at least the acceleration is slow. The thinking is low RPM = drink less fuel.
Which of the above method would you think is better for FC?
TIA!
If it works for me. I don't see where is the rubbish.Rubbish idea you have..

My car display the real time FC but it may not be the most accurate, it can go highest 30km/lit nia.You should install one of those monitoring devices like SCANGAUGE and look at the instantaneous FC. You will then probably too busy monitoring and will not hear the engine rev.![]()

I DIY my own servicing, I know my car well what effective whats not.

The overall FC also not accurate compared to my manual calculation...
