Must pre-order with down payment(30%-100%). Since kid want use it over Christmas and don't mind 3070ti, so didn't go for it.
btw were you buying just the card or system? because if system i know some shops do keep 3080 for full rig. that time i had to search quite deep as most shops dont carry anymore. that was during early dec.
Just the card + psu.
if dont care abt nv features like rt or dlss, better to get rx 6800. offers more performance, double the vram and lower power consumption compared to 3070ti. if bizgram price list is right they have a sapphire nitro+ model for 999, which means also cheaper.
Kids are more informed among their gamer friends. I don't want to hear issue with the card I selected for them.
