Think have to uncouple the hot and cold water pipes first so that it will not be in the way when the telescopic wench comes in.Anyway the whole faucet and the mixer hose will be pullout from the top.

Using this type of wrench, is it necessary to decouple the pipes?

Alternatively, u can use a flat head piler to clamp on the hex nut, and get another pax to loosen/tighten from the tap side. More tedious thou

I am actually going there tomorrow to check out their taps at IMM.
How are their products and prices?

I'm their customer for a long time
Not cheap. But got cheaper in house brand stuff
Their own brand is Sims.
I buy their Sims sink for my HIP

other brands can be pricey, esp angmoh brands.

Slightly cheaper one is next door, Hoe Kee. But I find their quality and design not as good as what Sim Siang Choon offer.

Taps I use Paffoni. Italian brand.

For kitchen tap, I changed to a local brand, Showy, which can be found at many hardware stores and shops.
Most importantly for me, is that I managed to email them to ask if they sell the inner cartridge for their tap should the cartridge wear off and leak in future.
So I can buy and replace it myself.

If you're not too concerned about brand or looks, you can take a look at their website.

Cos angmoh taps costs over $100 each

Since you're going to IMM, let me share with you a hardware shop around the same vicinity

Hardwarestore Trading (Enterprise Hub)
6316 8885

https://g.co/kgs/We8FfHm

Find a place to park. Sometimes behind/outside the shop got 1 or 2 empty spaces. Or park at the carpark and walk over. It's not far

The shop is big. U can also go to other shops in the building on the first floor.

The tool should be cheaper here than at IMM

take photos of your tap or what you need to do and show them when you ask for help

I can't really recommend cos I never used a lot of brands.

But my house uses Paffoni twice.
One set before HIP
and during HIP, I took the opportunity to change everything and buy a new set of Paffoni

https://simsiangchoon.com/shop/paffoni/

Don't get one where the snout is too short

Or else when u wash ur hands, then ur hands will knock the basin

Your tap is different because it is for hot and cold water. All the replies I've seen are difficult to make out of the solution as there is the existence of the big 45mm nut with screws. I suggest you search YouTube "replace mixer faucet" to see how the job is done, and the tools used. Then you can be certain of which tools to buy.

I think tool no. 2 should do the job.
U lucky those r flexi hoses. Recently i just replaced my kitchen faucet that attached to a hard copper pipe. I had to use tool no .1 to unscrew the faucet nut first, detached the copper pipe and replaced it with a flexi hose, then installed the new faucet and used a box spanner to tighten it. Due to space constraint in my situation, tool no.1 good for loosening but not tightening.

TS, what's the reason for changing? If it's leaking (not tight), you can change the internal cartridge instead of the whole mixer.

I replace sink taps quite a few times.
Don't waste money on no. 1, it's useless, the mouth keep flipping open, if you're turning the wrong way.
No. 2 works somewhat.
Fix pipe wrench are the best. But you need the correct size and length. They come with a hole that you can insert a pin (or screwdriver) to tighten.
