Why can deport to Singapore? No need to face charges in Spain?

It is political suicide for lawmakers here if they choose to ignore such a high profile case. Confirm will charge him gao gao to set an example....

As a matter of fact, the prosecution team wants him deported while the defendants wants him to face justice in Spain; because defendants know it is game over for Mitchell once they hand him over to SG authorities.

Ya
Most countries have that mind set

However it's difficult for Singapore to prosecute him cos all the witnesses are in Spain and evidence too
Easy to attack all the evidence and witnesses if conduct in Singapore

So if Spain don't want to do it , neither does Singapore either
sure or not lol

Should bring back to Singapore and hang. Don’t waste those precious organs that can be harvested for transplants after he gets hanged

Hard to prosecute
See the Keppel matter
They didn't even want to take action

Becuz keppel matter could potentially implicate GLCs.

This is just a simple murder case, no risk of political fallout. Contrary, it's dangerous for them to not prosecute.

Then see them take action here and people ask why you can take action but Keppel case you say so.much difficulty

Spain is lucky both parties are from same country
Imagine if the victim is American, see how the Americans will complain every step of the way

Next time SG should also deport criminals if the cases only involve only foreigners. We can save our taxes and reduce the load on our legal system.
Many cases got off easy after being deported. Next time we become crime hub. I'm willing to spend our tax money here.

Yes
Singapore can't let him go Scott free
Same as Dickson case
No matter what , find some way to jail him

And no
Not easy to take action against him in Singapore
Won't be surprised due to some cock up , he's acquitted

Because SG is a country that has got many cases of foreigners coming to commit crimes on foreigners.

Other countries usu is foreigners on locals or locals on foreigners.

Quite unique case
Most lawyers won't know how to advise

Anyway if family asked AGC.... OK, ask MinLaw , I bet will get general motherhood answer like always act in best interests of Singapore etc

But when he's dumped to Singapore and AGC sees the evidence , they'll curse and.swear and realise the evidence is so bad 3 hippopotamuses can run through the holes

It seems the victim family agrees and the defence lawyer opposes

Means that if he come back to SG will likely get charged for murder
