Why did my thread get deleted????

Hi

Some of you may remember my thread about this ERP program called DESKERA - "Any information about ERP Software - Deskera?"

WHY did my thread get deleted????

Hello!

Here’s a simple analogy -
You have two accounts, a savings and a joint account with your spouse.

$5000 was transferred from your savings to the joint. Hence you will see that $5000 is deducted from your savings and $5000 banked into your joint account when you check your transaction history.

To relate this to your question.

Moderators / Admins have moved your thread from Edmw to Software Clinic - to get proper responses and expertise from the right people. By doing so, the original thread link does not exist anymore (as we have not turned on redirecting for your thread / or that the redirect has expired.)

However, it didn’t exactly disappear - it simply is just found under another sub forum and URL. Apart from that, everything else about it remains the same.

For future instances of redirect, you can check the list of threads created under your profile.

Hope this explains.

However, it still doesn't solve the mystery -

I HAD two threads, please download link to see screenshot I managed to capture via mobile app: h t t p : //s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=50281257361068381815

One in EDMW with 98 replies, One in Software Clinic with 12 replies.

Now, I only HAVE one thread left: the one in Software Clinic with 12 replies.

Where did the one with 98 replies go to, if it wasn't deleted? I can no longer find it under threads I created.




Going by theory, there should be:

a) 2 threads in Software Clinic - one with 98 replies, one with 12 replies.

b) 1 thread in Software Clinic - with 98 + 12 = 110 replies.

1) 1 warning or 3 points infraction for spamming

2) Accept the explanation

3) Further pursuit the matter

4) Start another thread in EDMW again, 3 points infraction ensured

5) Spam every forums with the same question, p-banned ensured.

Do not post the same discussion more than once on a discussion forum or on many forums. Duplicate discussions can be frustrating for other members, especially for those whose time and energy is limited.

How about NO to both warnings and infractions?

Is there a need for these?

Let me give you a solution. How about merging the 2 threads and move them together to the SW clinic? Is that so hard?

As far as i see, no one have answered his question on where is the other thread which he like to know. This is something not un-reasonable. He has the right to know as member anyway.

Posting how he can get more infractions or P-bans doesn't help. But explaining why the other thread goes missing does. At least, he got his answer.

I know diff moderator work differently but if you disagree with what i post, feel free to message me. Thanks.

Is it safe to assume you were the one who deleted my thread?



As far as I see, you or the other moderator have not answered my question.

I went by the other guy's logic which was basically teaching me basic maths.

But what I see is, 98 replies got deleted, NOT shifted to the other thread (or a new thread), which is by logic, NOT basic maths.


Thus the question is:

Why it got deleted.

How about 3)?

No need for the arrogance.

Feel free to give out warnings or infractions as per your SOP. It will only go to prove I'm correct since no one is able to explain where the thread went.

I do apologize for double posting (aka spamming), my bad for not reading the T&C which I think everyone has done so except me.

Unless the moderator moderate both forums, he/she cannot merge two threads reside in EDMW and Software Clinic respectively.

If, the thread in EDMW moved to Software Clinic, any Software Clinic resident moderator can merge the thread into a chronologically messed up thread.

I'm not being draconian, there are good reasons why we discourage members create multiple threads of the same content. The same reason why spammer are banned for spamming the Garage Forums with the same content.
