Seem like many are having difficult time to get out of the house and do exercises.
Do you?
Many citing reasons such as no time, laxy, procastination, nua at sofa, dont feel like doing, lost motivation and all sort of reasons.

How to make one motivate enough to push onself to go out do exercises?
When you started this thread, it was a you who were three years younger.

Are you still the same person now?

Have age, and new experiences which came your way these three years, reshaped you into a slightly/vastly different person?

Different people have different ways of spending their leisure hours. For some, it's a 5 km run after work. For others, it used to be going for their fixes at a lounge - back in the 1980s - listening to a Filipino band singing.

Some join dancing classes, and later form their own dancing buddies. They would contact one another and go for their agogo, cha cha, line dancing that keeps them fit.

Some have friends with whom they meet regularly to play music, one a drummer, another a saxophonist, another a guitarist.

Some go to the gym.

Some read books

Some come to edmw, without fail, to pwn multiversal and try to get him bend.

If you ask someone, "Why are you not exercising? Is it because you find it boring, or you are lazy, or you just don't believe it?", he will ask you in return, "Why are you not going to the public library to read a good novel? Are you lazy?"

Another might ask you, "Why are you not learning a musical instrument?"

I hope nobody asks, "Why are you not in edmw longer, pwning Multiversal. Getting him bend is such good fun, you know?'🤣

Hello bro, how's everything going?

Yes, still the same old me but now easily tired out.

Like this morning solo hike , about 6km, looping around bukit timah, walked up devils stairs, etc etc..completely sweat out. But compare to the pass, the stamina drop...

planning for KL hike next year as one hiker welcome me to join in KL hikes to waterfall, etc, etc..looking forward to it.

But need to get a walk, hike shoes.

But I like hiking , jogging getting lesser. If can hiking the best, no direct hit on the hot weather.

Getting tired faster and easier than last time is the natural result of aging. Nothing can be done about it, to stop our body from aging and becoming weak. We can only try to slow it down by eating more proteins as we exercise, which we would need to rebuild muscles.

However, we would not be able to run like we did half a century ago, up and down Peng Kang Hill as if the tiger chasing us behind was more frightening than the enemy we were charging at in front.

Hiking is not running.

But some places are steep depending on where you hike. A first aid kit is always good to bring along. By kit, it does not mean a big box of everything as though you are 995, but...you know what I mean.

A power bank would be handy if your phone runs out of juice because you'd never know when you might need to call for help if you are hiking in unfamiliar territory.

I guess you know all the rest since you are already in your 60s, and quite an experienced fitness buff...

Tks bro.
I exercise every weekend, walking for 15 to 20km per day.
There is this 100km walk coming soon. Not joining , as I prefer night time sleep than walk more than 18 hours..
Yeah, as we age, our strength also drop. Now is can sweat or shirt wet is more than enough.
Oh yeah, need plenty of rest too.
