HK Youtube Reviewer of Linksys Hydra Pro 6E under 2.5Gbps Fibre Broadband in Cantonese.

Linksys Hyra Pro 6E triband AXE66000 (HK$2699, or S$473), Qualcomm Networking Pro 810 CPU (quad core Arm Cortex A53 CPU at 1.8GHz, 512MB RAM, 512MB Flash, 5Gbps WAN port, four gigabit LAN ports).

WiFi speed is very respectable -- about 1.6 Gbps to 1.7Gbps at close range (1m and 5m).

the issue is on device fw lock, despite IDA has released the 6ghz band for 6e usage however device maker once released to market it will not track actively when to update its region embargo list.

even the newly released Google pixel 8(oct'23) no 6e support for sin/Taiwan sku.

Saw that Huawei has the ax6 router. Anyone got it to try?

Huawei AX6 is not a WiFi 6E router, just a WiFi 6 router (dual band AX7200 rated, with support of 4x4 160MHz channe bandwidth and 4096QAM on the 5GHz band). This thread is about WiFi 6E routers. And Huawei has stopped selling Wireless Router in Singapore market for a while (last local version was Huawei AX3 Quad Core version). Therefore it is not popular.

Huawei has announced the new Huawei BE3 Pro WiFi 7 router at very low cost (the 2.5G port version is at RMB 499, same as the promotional price of Huawei AX6). But it is too early to tell if it really support 6GHz band or not. As of now the spec shows only 2.4GHz and 5GHz band.

TP link AXE300 has new FW for wifi 6E support. However since SG still have not officially release it on local airwave, my IP 15PM are unable to detect the 6GHz wifi.

Only able to detect and connect to 6GHz wifi after i changed some settings under privacy settings by following what @*adiBOY had shared from one of the thread.

FW: 1.0.10 Build 20231123 rel.82393(5347)

Hi all, I wanted to buy the Netgear RAXE300 for wifi6E connectivity but it's not sold anywhere in sg.

So I looked for it from Amazon US but then past posts here said there are region locked for 6E and also I dunno if RAXE300 bought from USA has 240V adapter compatible for use in sg or not.

With so many problems, I tempted to just drop the idea of getting RAXE300 and just get a Asus Mesh XT8 instead and use the wifi6.

What u think?

First, XT8 is a Wireless MESH option, so its targeted for people (like me) who are not considering cable laying options. i am not saying you cant use it alone as a single unit but just indicating if you dont need wireless mesh setup, then no point getting a 3-band router option.

Second, XT8 is not Wifi6e so your intent of getting a 6E connectivity isn't met.

imo, there are many cheaper? and more affordable options for Wifi 6E or even 7 single router nowadays.

I tend to think this thread can Rest In Peace already.

WiFi 6E is just dead (never really that alive in Singapore anyway) now that WiFi 7 routers have come out. Just wait a bit for the price to drop.

If you want a low cost one now, you can get BNIB TP-Link EB810v or TP-Link Archer BE805 from Carousell (dumped by Starhub/MR 10Gbps users), at around S$450 to S$500. Be a bit patient though as the listing is not that many.

If you do not mind paying high price of Asus GT-BE98, then it will be an excellent router which will be available later this month at S$1099.

You can refer to my two posts in the WiFi 7 router thread.

I was doing some research and saw this TP Link Archer Axe 200 Omni router. But it's not out in sg yet.

Like Jin cool leh. The antennas move on their own to track where bandwidth is needed the most to maximize throughout. But too bad only have 6e... But I don't mind if the price of wifi 7 routers still ex and not much selection

I actually think TP-Link Archer AXE200 Omni is just a gimmick and not useful in reality. And I think it is already dead and will never come to Singapore market.

Edit to add: TP-Link Singapore actually lists AXE200 Omni as "Coming Soon" but I really doubt if it will be brought into Singapore market in the end or not.
