Singtel connection to Waveform.com bufferbload test servers have been greatly improved. So I can test bufferbloat using Waveform.com server now.

Singtel 5Gbps plan
Singtel ZTE F8648P ONR 10G LAN port -- 2.5G/10G Hasivo switch's 10G RJ45 port
Hasivo switch 2.5G LAN port --> Intel N100 OpenWRT virtual router --> ZTE BE7200 Pro+ AP (2.5G WAN)
Client: Ryzen 5 5600G desktop connected to ZTE BE7200 Pro+ AP using Comfast CF-983BE BE6500 WiFi 7 adapter, 5GHz band, CH60, 160MHz channel bandwidth, 2882Mbps PHY link speed

Result: A

1) Using default SSID (2.4GHz/5GHz same SSID), cannot connect. Strange. Maybe a bug with either the TUF-BE6500 or more likely the bug of the CF-983BE Windows driver.

2) Using MLO SSID, 2882Mbps PHY link speed

3) Using the IOT SSID, 2401Mbps PHY Link Speed

Using default MLO enabled SSID --> 2882 Mbps PHY Link Speed

There are some stability issues for the connection and often it may connect at 2.4GHz band. I believe the Realtek 8912AU Wireless LAN WiFi 7 USB NIC Windows driver is not stable.

Very close range at 20cm away --> 5GHz only SSID (no MLO, 2.4GHz disabled). This is the best I can get for a dual band WiFi 7 router now on the 5GHz band.

Wifi 7 --> WiFi 8 (Future is low latency and higher reliability)

More on WiFi 7 and future

More on WiFi 8 --> estimation: 2028 to have the standard and 2030 to have the product launch

This one is supposed to come to Singapore soon -- based on MediaTek MT7927 chipset. So so sure about pricing, for Desktop only.

https://einfoldtech.com/2024/02/tp-link-archer-tbe550e-be9300-wifi-7-bluetooth-5-4-pcie-adapter/

TP-Link Singapore now lists the above adapter in its website.
https://www.tp-link.com/sg/home-networking/adapter/archer-tbe550e/v1/

BE9300: 5760 Mbps (6 GHz) + 2880 Mbps (5 GHz) + 688 Mbps (2.4 GHz)

Lazada price is at about S$129. I think this is too expensive.

MSI HERALD-BE NCM865 WI-FI 7 is at US$40. Amazon Singapore is selling at about S$50.34 when on offer (Amazon Prime member offer), usual price at about S$70.40.

Using the Comfast CF-983BE BE6500 USB WiFi 7 adapter with a Ryzen 5 5600G desktop (16GB/1TB) running Windows 11.

ZTE BE7200 Pro+ dual band WiFi 7 router, CH60, 160MHz channel bandwidth.

4m distance (PHY Link Speed 2882Mbps).

Using the same desktop and same COMFAST USB WiFi 7 adapter, but with Asus TUF-BE6500 dual band WiFi 7 router at 3m away.

Non-MLO default SSID does not work (probably a bug in the FW). IoT SSID works. MLO SSID works.

MLO SSID speedtest results and IoT SSID results are actually quite similar.
