Review from a Chinese Website
Review post in Chinese.

Taobao price is cheap, from RMB169 for 1 piece.

Is this a good buy??

Current under M1 1Gbps Fibre, and having Asus RT-AC87U, which supposedly do not support AirMesh. Due to antenna being not the usual brand (that's what I read).

Looking for Cheap Mesh system.
Since this model support Gigabit port (3x)
And 3T3R MU-MIMO.

No one has any opinion on this??

Pricing wise is cheap against other MESH products right???
RMB169 is about $33 for each Node/Satellite.

Getting 3 is only $100.

TP-Link TL-WDR7650

- AC1900
Seems fast enough, fastest should be AC3200

- Wave2 - 3T3R MU-MIMO

- Gigabit Ethernet Port
3 ports, auto WAN/LAN selection.
Plug in WAN into either of the 3 ports available, and the other 2 ports will be allocated to LAN.
Or all 3 ports can be LAN.

- Dual AP/Node Operation
Every satellite or node is able to be the main AP/router. So it works with 1 or up to 9 nodes.

Maybe Singapore Team need to clear old stocks first before they can release new products. :s12:

There's stuff that they don't sell outside of China Territory.
Some of their wifi router look like objets d'art and they are 2 years old in market. Damn high WAF and in white, muted tones.

Does it come with English menu or settings and is the app English?

No idea. Have not seen a review in English yet.

But like most China electronics, they usually only support Chinese language.

Unless they are marketed outside China.

If you have zero command for Chinese, best not to try. But even at this low prize, it's still a good option.

Support both wireless/wired node mesh config.

Support both wireless/wired node mesh config.

What ya mean??

Had contacted TP-Link, the reply is this model is only for China Market.

Reading some Chinese review, the wireless transition is not very smooth.

Heat is also an issue, as the only ventilation is towards the bottom. So heat will build up in it...

Just tried this as ADD-ON AP to expand coverage. Not bad, super cheap mesh wifi and I get to keep my main router unlike some other mesh which only works if they are the primary point or hard to mix & match w existing setup. Much improved speed in remote corners.

UI in Chinese but easily 99% similar settings as most consumer routers. UI is great as it graphically shows which device is connected to which mesh node.

Unfortunately most of these cheap Mesh solution are only sold in China.

The cheapest in SG shops (IDA approved) I know of is TP-Link Deco M4 at S$99 per pair. It works in both router mode and AP mode. It also can join Mesh network of other Deco units like better Deco M9 Plus. I bought two pairs of Deco M4 to complement my main router.

I just saw it on taobao and thinking of it too, because the old AC87U is serving as main router although I have a ac56 serving as switch and AP as backup wifi cos 5G just won't work far away.

Just to clear up confusion, this is probably mostly all china only products although TP Link sells globally. Real shame.
They also have mercury sub brand which have cheap PoE switches and cheap versions of TP Link's already cheap routers. They also have a 80$ AX3000 router called the XDR3020. (Intel wifi on the output! But intel is quite hopeless at doing anything networking...)

How dodgy, I don't know. Have to try I guess. :s22: GUI probably all in chinese but i guess i can play with it.
Intel AX200 non CNVI PCIe kit is about 40-50 btw. If you have M.2 you can get antenna and extension wire for your ASRock motherboard for 35
