this new eplanetworld.com like got all the DIY parts and local warranty and free shipping

finally somebody figure that going to sls have to walk around so many shops asking price and after buying have to take taxi bring home so many things

now that 2nd chance selling its sls strata units to reit, prices of diy components is likely to go up up up

why not sit at home, click and deliver home free shipping?

think distro find it hard to start as they cannot ask competitors to display their products in the same estore hence while they have their own e-store not much people buy due to lack of variety

now got independent party set up local e-store ahead of newegg malaysia who have closed down and even the us store while cheaper have no local warranty

why didn't hwz start an e-store when it has the media and distro behind it?

even challenger, harvey norman and courts didn't catch the e-store train while they have an online portal, it is hard to buy things especially DIY parts

while the margin is low for an e-store, it doesn't have the overhead or rental of a physical shop, once the volume builds up, we could be looking at an electronic redmart in the making

the missing piece is the assembly service in sls which can be easily resolved once the portal add free assembly if you buy more than S$1,000

change is cuming

will funan, sls and it shows disappear once online shopping for it products starts to rise due to the rise of local portal with warranty?

4 things

- variety

- low price

- local warranty

- financial strength of retailer

if challenger got DIY e-store with same price as the sls shop set up online portal

i think redmart and eplanetworld.com is the result of reits

sls, funan and it show things are no longer cheap

sls is still strata title, that will soon change as 2nd chance turn it into a reit

Anyway, from what you are replying, have a feeling you are paid to promote this online store. With its prices set to RRP, i feel one would rather head down and bargain.

even now i need a router and network adaptor which i brought at S$24 + S$26 at bedok point challenger

if i take mrt go sls round trip is S$3

i don't think i will save more than S$3 if i buy at sls so i buy near my house saving the time to go down to sls or even to mbs for it show

now there is online store with local warranty

i'm not advertising the website but i think more such website will start as the government now pay grants for companies to increase productivity

online store increase productivity as less labour needed to sell the product and collect payment

i would encourage sls shops to apply for the grants to set up online portals to keep prices low

just starting a thread and see whether this is just a hype or an emerging trend in singapore

the shops is also being used as a warehouse ma. online stores u also rent a place to store your products. hire tiongs to do delivery
