why don't sls shops start online stores?

then they no need to hire tiongs and pay rental

then the products can be cheaper, free shipping and got local warranty?

You already listed mynextcom and Videopro. Both have physical stores in SLS.

I really think this guy just wants to promote the online store...

i give up

u all don't understand what i'm saying :(

Bye bye. Maybe come back when the time is right. For now, people will want to get out to sls and save that couple of hundreds of dollars. If you want your company to be successful, get them to rival tradepac's price.

Stating other websites as reference dun mean that you are not promoting for this website... What logic?

Also, i dun care LKY enter the DIY scene and start his own online store. As long as i can get it cheaper in SLS by bargaining, i will go there. Bus fare to SLS frm my hse is cheap.

That website is selling at RRP for 90% of its items. Same concept as Fuwell, Cybermind, Video Pro...

You want to sell us the impression that the so-called eplanet is like some newegg or tigerdirect e-tailers...

But come on, their prices is not competitively to let say mynextcom. And even qoo10 have more variety than that store....

TBH TS,

Online stores does not have any form of overhead cost. But to sell at SRP pricing even there is no overhead is just a no go for me.

Paying for example Crucial m500 240gb Convergent promo at $215 and the webby stated $215. Arent online store with no overheads should be cheaper? Honestly speaking, consumer is not stupid. Consumer do think also before purchasing, not unless consumer got a lot of money to spend and do not know where to throw their money on.

Next thing is a physical shop vs online stores. One thing for sure physical shops are dying. But they wont die totally and they are here to stay. Simply because as a consumer, one can actually go down to the stores and see for what they like physically. It is somehow way better than seeing the product online. One could also see the quality and physical unit itself rather than seeing photos online that does not show much.

Furthermore if an item is DOA, i know the stores are there and i can go down to change 1 to 1. For online stores (not including T258jgn or mynextcom) if their place location is some kuching kurat place, as a consumer i have to travel to that place to do a swap is just pain in the arse. I rather go back to SLS local shops. If no stock i go back distro.

Those big shops in SLS, alteast 50% of their sales are B2B. These shops owners also have investments somewhere else.

Furthermore, those 100% online shop only provide deliveries (eg. http://www.thepotterhouse.net/) will not last long in SG. Most Singaporeans still like to collect or buy things from a physical shop/place.
