TBH TS,
Online stores does not have any form of overhead cost. But to sell at SRP pricing even there is no overhead is just a no go for me.
Paying for example Crucial m500 240gb Convergent promo at $215 and the webby stated $215. Arent online store with no overheads should be cheaper? Honestly speaking, consumer is not stupid. Consumer do think also before purchasing, not unless consumer got a lot of money to spend and do not know where to throw their money on.
Next thing is a physical shop vs online stores. One thing for sure physical shops are dying. But they wont die totally and they are here to stay. Simply because as a consumer, one can actually go down to the stores and see for what they like physically. It is somehow way better than seeing the product online. One could also see the quality and physical unit itself rather than seeing photos online that does not show much.
Furthermore if an item is DOA, i know the stores are there and i can go down to change 1 to 1. For online stores (not including T258jgn or mynextcom) if their place location is some kuching kurat place, as a consumer i have to travel to that place to do a swap is just pain in the arse. I rather go back to SLS local shops. If no stock i go back distro.
