vineyards specifically or individual producers?

'cos the interesting thing about Germany vineyards is that the plot of land can belong to several producers who divide up the vineyards.

serious? i may visit Saar this November, may like to drop by some of the yards over the weekend, any recommendations?

Hi guys,

Yes, no problem with the menu price and timing. Just checked with them, bringing our wine and glasses shouldn't be a problem. See ya guys then.

at taka, take a look at the Enoteca wine store at the basement.

at Isetan Scotts, take a look at the rieslings section, but they do have a relatively robust spanish section as well that's worth checking out. i love spanish wines.

yup that's at isetan. a 100% syrah from the northern rhone and a good producer. you can try it to see how different a rhone syrah is from an aussie shiraz. you should decant it or let it breathe for a while before drinking.

hey guys,

those attending the makan tomorrow, please let me know whether you are ok with the menu that Saveur has proposed:

Starter 1:salmon confit
Starter 2:angel hair pasta
Main: beef short rib
Dessert: Chocolate souffle to end

This is within the $20-$25 range. I will confirm with them on the final price.

08 was a decent year and should be ready to drink now. 09 was a better year but you can't drink now, unfortunately. buy both and compare ;) it's a good way to see what the difference is among the same wines from a different vintage.

Wah... 08 have to drink now, while 09 have to drink in 2014. How would I be able to remember how 08 tasted 3 years later :s13:
