as in drank finish the Tempus Two? yeah i did.

sorry, my bad. from their website and press kit, seems like both the Chateau d'Avrigny and the Les Tour de Beaumont come from Chateau Beaumont with the d'Avrigny as the official 2nd wine, while the Les Tour seems to be another label for export perhaps or could be their 3rd wine?
on another note, what is everyone intending to drink/buy this weekend?
i am going to pick up my pair of Grosset Rieslings from Wine Exchange Asia and my 5 wines (1 german kabinett, 1 german auslese, 1 aussie cab-merlot blend, 1 aussie cab, 1 loire sparkling) from Crystal Wines that I ordered a month or so ago.
i will be celebrating with my kaki who just got into post grad medical school. wanna go somewhere casual and doesn't cost too much. after some research, heading to Swiss Grill at Coronation Plaza. Corkage is $15and the grills and burgers are very nice, ate there before. was going through my wine excel sheet (an excel sheet really helps you keep track of stuff) and I couldn't really find a wine I could open now since most of them are not ready yet or i have reserved them for a specific occasion.
right now i am looking at an aussie cab by a very small producer (i can't even find his website) from Wrattonbully, a niche cool climate growing area which is known to produce high quality cabernets and shirazes. but who knows how it will taste? I will probably open in the early afternoon and do a quick taste test.
Bought this from c4 as well for $37. It's a wine that you need to decant for an hour at least. Lots of berries, vanilla and ash.
C4 usually has good deals for wines, especially during their wine fairs. There'll be one at the beginning of dec at plaza sing. Last fair i bought a clerc milon for $60. That's why i usually wait and stock up there. Thank goodness Tesco is not taking over c4 else i'll lose my favourite source.where's c4 man? damn i felt cheated..
yeah you are right...i started at 30mins..then it taste better and better..
Nope. The latest reports say that they are selling away their Thai business but they'll be strengthening their SG/MY stores. Hopefully it translates to a wider variety of labels.Tesco is not taking over but Carrefour is still going to move out in the next few years.

Crystal wines having a promo for Reserve de la Comtesse 93 magnums at $119. Pretty good deal.
Yup, only arriving end Jan. BTW, i'm trying to source for an argon spray bottle for preserving half open bottles. Last i saw it was in Culina at Dempsey but they are selling it for too ex a price. It's like $2 a squirt. I found another place at Chinatown pt that supposedly sells it cheaper but they said it's banned. Anyone knows where to get canned argon gas bottles?I think i saw this. The wine will only come next year right? Is it nice? Cos Magnums.. kinda waste if can't get enough ppl to finish it...
hi guys, can someone recommend a bottle of red wine and white wine? i need those smooth type. not looking for dry ones.
i dont know anything bout wine![]()
I don't have a problem with bottles but with magnums it's a different story. I'm thinking of using argon to prolong the life for another 2-3 more days on top of the usual first 2 days. Argon should work well as it's what penfolds and other vineyards use when they do recorking.@nautilus: typically if i can't finish a wine i'll just recork it back and drink it the next day. i don't think an argon spray is necessary. plus it'll be fun to see how the wine develops; wines are hardier than we think they are, especially the better ones.
what the occasion for? what's your budget? what kind of food will you be eating it with?
