By the way, found this website by chance: Italian Wine Club a true experience of the finest Italian wine tradition
Pretty comprehensive coverage and good introduction (overall) and representation on the wines from the different regions in italy.

I tried their Asti Moscato, it is perfect!

Yes, i'll be bringing a +1.
So that's 8 pax, with 5 to 6 wines to go round.

Ok so 12pm or 1pm better for you guys?

Yes, I've seen them before at Wines For Asia 2011. They do have some wine dinners and classes, and I've seen their wines around at some shops. Their wines are not bad but I just feel that their pricing is a bit off. But I guess they run a business...

Ok so head count is 8. Btw place closes at 3pm, last order 2.30pm, but there should be enough time for 2 hours of merriment. Wonder if we'll be able to have the durian chendol after all that alchohol :p

reign - The place not really convenient to walk-in, about 500m in? We can arrange pick-up near vivo or something.

Currently the line-up is:

Vive La France
Hkm
Stayhappy

Viva l'Italia

HKM and I will be both red. And to get a better spread of representation and variety, mine will be northern France while HKM will be southern France.

ikileo, any clue what colour or region your French might be?

Btw they don't have decanters so you'll need to BYO if required.

BYO decanters?

Easier to decant at home and bring it along isn't it..
Anyway, most wines (if decanting is required) will need 2 to 3 hours to fully open up..

Doubt we'll have such a long time to wait.

I may not have time to decant the wine so probably I will just open in advance to slow ox the wine.

Yup just FYI, in case you want one on the spot.
Or you can do the Drops of God decant:

I would highly recommend those with reds especially to decant them or get older reds so that the tannins won't clash with the spices in the peranakan dishes

Brought these to hosted @ the patio last Friday...good feedback from the table

1. Chateau d'Esclans Esclans Rose 2008
- Perfect when served chilled. Almost white. Went well with the peking duck and smoked salmon starters

2. Kooyong Estate Pinot Noir 2009
- Good in-between wine, goes down so well that I could have finished a bottle or 2 myself. Recommended by Don at Bacchus.

3. Binomio Montepulciano D'Abruzzo 2006
- Had to let it sit for 2 hours. Went well with my lamb mains.

Chit chat wine
- No dessert wine so I opened my extra bottle of paul mas coteaux du languedoc. Nice table wine.
