I used to eat at the road side stalls beside Albert Street Food Centre in the 80s.. the famous prawn noodles was one of the stalls.

After 90s, the Food Centre was setup, many iconic stalls too..The original grouchy 3-aunties Kok Kee Wanton noodles was there..

水粿 is nice but sometime you can get one soak in oil, the brown paper that used to pack it, soaked with oil and chilli
still nice to jiak but you feel oily very fast
no i'm not referring to the stall in beedio
Think the oil is from the chye-por right?

There is an underrated soya sauce chicken rice/noodle stall there. I was surprised it was super tender. Whenever go GY temple i will go eat at that stall.
