Wah lao they really open chain outlet... I always prefer the bedok style one.. the cai por ingredients more simple.. not so complex...

Yes, everyone has their own preferences. For me, the chwee kueh texture should be soft and smooth, while the chai poh should be savory, crunchy, and not too oily.

水粿 is nice but sometime you can get one soak in oil, the brown paper that used to pack it, soaked with oil and chilli
still nice to jiak but you feel oily very fast
no i'm not referring to the stall in beedio
So oily where got nice to jiak
The oil v turn off leh

lol i used spoon to scoop off the cai pok, press against it to release the oil
use the spoon to scape off the oil from chwee kueh
then put back the cai pok
placebo effect, but at least you feel good yourself :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
