Last year was El Nino so the weather was much warmer than usual. This year should be mild effects of La Nina so it's either colder or average.

Thanks thanks. Last year at 3rd week of Dec, we were disappointed that we dun see snow at the snow monkey park at nagano. We left japan with regret and we going again later this year at similar dates again.

There are supposedly some characteristics according to many sources, and often quoted in the media. But I have only been here a bit more than a year so I won't be able to tell them apart except from the way they speak.

This year got chance to see autumn foliage mid Dec? Last yr my friend went to Mount Takao mid December, foliage to going strong. Booked mid Dec this yr too. Hope to catch it

this year most likely is average timing. Nov will revert to normal temperature. Dec will be colder.

29 Oct-4th Nov will be much colder! I need prepare my scarf when i go reach Tokyo on 4th

5th Nov revert to average temperature. Koyo will be average

Nov mostly average. Especially Kansai.

Dec is forecast to be colder than average for Kansai.

If talking about Kyoto Koyo if it is average timing even start of Dec will be hard to see. Mid Dec will be over.....
