initially quite interested as I'm v happy with H1 and even Truengine 3 SE.
But seems that opera is quite big sized. Had a pair of Creative Air V3 and gave it away as it was too big and felt unnatural for me.

not backing any kickstarter. just wait for it to come out then if good i buy.
+1 haha

I backed 3 TWS before on indiegogo but was like 4-5 years ago already

1st one - designed with BT4.2, sent out to people then all complaining until they stop sending and gone MIA for months. After a while back alive with revised hardware with BT5.0 only I request to send again as I have not received it the first round. Buds is alright for just listening, still serving as my home laptop default TWS when I need to go quiet at night, buds battery life I think left around 2.5 hours, case battery gone case always on charger.

2nd one - Big round casing hanging outside the ear, had disconnection issue and it was initially designed with BT4.2 as well. After like 3 months, one side just died and it's the master side, the whole set just gone can't be used. Recorded a video of it not working correctly and contacted the company, they shipped a new set that comes with BT5.0. Still it didn't last too long as the signal just cmi.

3rd one - Seems promising on paper with Qualcomm chipset and a stem design at that time, thought the call quality will be alright. Same company as 2nd one, in the end the sound quality actually got worse and the call quality is just as awful. Had contact and connection issue, recorded a video again to get it claimed on warranty, shipped a new set again. Used those for a short while then moved on to other set as I was having issue with connection again.

No more kickstarter/indiegogo thereafter haha. But I've then learnt the fact 2-3 years ago that not many buds at that time does phone call the way I wish they could. Even Jabra Elite 85t is just pure ru**ish in calls with mild background noise situation. Let's see how it goes next just wait haha.

Yeah that’s my general idea about kickstarters. Those who support them are often treated as beta testers for their launch. The launch version often koyak one, then it’s the revised version that addresses the complaints.

Any newly released ear buds that’s under $200? Iphone user here. Listens to mostly rock and metal. Heard it’s best to get earbuds that’s rated AAC. How true is that?

That’s just part of the picture.
It also depends on the driver and audio tuning

you can consider Edifier W240TN or Creative outlier V3

Which model?

I have the 1more Comfobuds Pro, bought July 22, Dec 22 already send for RMA the battery won't hold charge then case will go out of battery and activate the earbuds while still inside the case, connect to phone without me knowing. They didn't give any reason/diagnose whether is it the buds or the case just changed a new set but it's discontinued if it happens again they can only replace other model, they said is the Comfobuds 2 la.

Other models no idea.

Bought this model for the phone call after reading reviews on good mic performance. No doubt it's better in call quality than Jabra elite 85t but I don't have other buds can't compare/review. Did saw feedback on dying batteries within a month/a few months of use just didn't expect it to hit myself that soon as my tech usually lasts quite a bit. Sight hopefully this replacement set will last.

Sounds very jialat lol… i interested in it because i used to have the wired earpiece and i quite like the sound… so I’m not sure if the wireless buds would be as good but seems like it’s pretty bad…

thanks for your review. Are u still using the 1more or did u change something else?

Higher end product could be better? The Comfobuds Pro is not really their flagship, bought it for $99 if I remember correctly.

Yes I'm still using it alongside Jabra Elite 85t. That Jabra totally CMI when comes to phone call maybe it just filters out my sound and take in surrounding but I do feel like the fit, sound, ANC and the design are better with Jabra but it could be mainly affected by the fit.

Comfobuds Pro has a slightly weird short tips that's not the best at keeping the buds staying inside the ear, it will not fall out but it will loosen up slightly and thus not maintaining the seal as good. Anyway comfobuds pro has already discontinued I think can only get Comfobuds 2 now.

This post is only for Comfobuds Pro based on my experience. YMMV ya, better find other review/feedback for the model you looking to get.

I do some conference call for work on the go sometimes. I do have wired headset with Type-C adaptor to connect to phone but it's not the most convenient way sometimes. Had to find one that work slightly better. I've tried the Jabra in a office environment where my colleagues will also be doing their own calls around me. That Jabra picks up everything around me as loud as my voice so I got this after looking at a number of reviews.

Good luck for your hunt. If you're just going after sound quality and don't care about call, I think you have plenty options in a very wide range. Others in this thread can help you haha

Also depend on budget. How much you willing to spend for ear buds...
Comfort
Price
Connectivity
Sound
Charging time, standby time
Other features, ANC, wireless charging, etc...
