All sineoji ipcam works with 3rd party ipcam viewer by Robert Chou for android. First, you must setup a ddns account and do the necessary port forwarding.

Just want to point out that if you are using Robert Chou's excellent IP Cam Viewer (Android or iOS... I have the paid version for both), you won't find Sineoji as one of the supported make. However, you can choose similar OEM's make and model. I always use Foscam as the make of the camera, and it works flawlessly with Sineoji. In fact, Foscam's driver seems to work for my Aztech and Sineoji just as well as my Foscam. I think previously I have also used it for my VStarCam until VStarCam became natively supported by IP Cam Viewer.

Jwattbradley,

Loved your enthusiasm to check with wanscam on the HW0048. As I had mentioned that the model I received is 1.7mm not the standard 3.6mm nor 2.8mm lens, the small room definitely have done the wide angle lens a disservice. I will upload a new one using a square living room. Like I said, this is just a teaser not a full review yet.

Just be patient, i am also eagerly waiting for PT619V to be available on the retail floor.

are you able to connect to your camera?

if so, just go and switch the alarm off.

that only happens, when you either restart your camera, new camera setup or lose connectivity.

Hi,
Just bought the 597 over the weekend and love the ease of the set up. Only issue is the SD card. Looks like it doesn't detect presence of my sandisk ultra 128G card and doesn't format it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Your camera has not been setup correctly if you hear that sound.

Get your phone connected to your 2.4ghz WiFi, not 5Ghz. Open the sineoji app, click + and one key . Enter your WiFi password . Click start. Wait for 60 seconds it should detect your camera. Enter the default password as admin. Click Save.

Thanks for the suggestion. Not sure what you mean by web ui. I only set up using the iPhone app 😓
I will try set up the PC and see if there are more options there.
Using iPhone will be easy though.

There is a + symbol. Select that and hit LAN search. You will see your ipcamera with the ip address 192.168.x.x.

Enter this ip address 192.168.x.x:8081 on your web browser like chrome. Enter username and password. Choose view from chrome. Hit the settings icon on the bottom right , looks like a gear. Hit the format sdcard as fat32.

Wait until you see success...

Bought 7 IP cameras (PT497v a PT597v) from Sineoji and Dean came to my place twice to help install the cameras. First visit unable to mount the cameras because need my false ceiling contractor to open holes to connect to the power socket hidden inside the false ceiling. However Dean didn't waste the trip, he end up setting up all the cameras and my routers so he can just do the mountng of the cameras in his next trip. I'm pleased with Dean's service and support (both before and after sales) and will not hesitate to recommend his service to friends looking for IP cameras.

The only outstanding issues I'm facing now are:

1. Still unable to setup viewer software in home and office PCs to view the cameras remotely (can only use HP to view now but prefered to view from monitor screen). I enter the SHX ID, ID and PW but somehow the software is very laggy on screem - some parts of the menu can't even show on screen.

2. I setup motion detect email alarm for my main door. The phone app has two problems:

- Too sensitive even though I set the least sensitive setting of 10. I get few hundreds of email of photos every day...probably due to the shadow of my family members moving near to main door. I wonder if it's possible to just detect motion at certain area of the camera view, eg the top of the door frame so the camera will only take pic and email me when someone open the door and not when someone walk near to the door and cast a shadow on the door?

- The sensitivity of motion detection will automatically switch back to 9 everytime I set it to 10, maybe app bug?

If anyone able to setup viewer software on your pc/notebook to remotely view the cameras at home, pls share which s/w u use and how to configure (need IP and port info?), many thanks in advance.

remotely vs website,
Lagging or no lagging it depends more on the network speed.

Bought a Dlink DCS-960L IP camera recently. The cable of the 5V DC power adapter is merely 1.5m long.

Is there a longer cable length of 3m? Or I need to buy those micro-B Plug with male/female connector extension to join it to the adapter?

sineoji has a new released PC Viewer App i believe. you want to ask dean to remote assist you in setting it up you misconfigured it would be my guess. i have no such issues

regarding the app being buggy, yes it is a little buggy ( hopefully new versions will fix it

as for the motion detection i just left it off as i have the same issue also. besides i don't need it.

i believe you can set certain areas only

Wanna give a shout out of Thank You to Dean of Sineoji who came over to configure 2 sets of 603v at my home yesterday. 2 weeks ago, I got in touch with Dean to come take a look at my place and to see which model of the IP cam is suitable. Dean then recommended me the 603v which I purchased. When Dean come to my place again yesterday, he helped me link up the IP cams to my home network wifi, and to demonstrate how to get things working on my android phone. Dean also showed me how to use web browser to configure the motion detection zoning of the camera. Really very helpful, top notch service from Dean! :)

However, I must say that there are some problems I have at the moment though:
- The mobile app is buggy. Sometimes when I run the app on my mobile phone (Samsung Note 5 on android version 6.0.1), when I select one of the IP cam to view, the connection doesn't link up. I have to exit the selected IP cam from the mobile app, re-select the IP cam and then finally the video appears. This happens regardless of whether I am at home on my 2.4G or 5G network or when I am using my mobile data. I am using the Asus AC5300 tri-band router on fiber brandband btw, 1 cam is barely 0.5meter behind a wall from the router, and the other is 3 meters straight behind glass panel.
- Alot of times, when the video finally appears in the mobile app, after a few seconds of live view, the footage just hangs there. I then have to force close the mobile app, reopen the mobile app, and then select the IP cam to view the footage again. And most of the time, it hangs again or it can't connect up to the IP cam anymore. The hanging and no connection to the IP cam is irritating, as I can't get to view beyond 5 seconds in real time. This hanging as of now is statistically happening at about 60%-70% of the time.
- When the mobile app is running in the background of my mobile phone, and when there is a motion detection alert, I click on 'ok' to view the IP cam that triggered the alarm, the time clock on that view is 1970-01-01 00:01, but the IP cam's has got another time stamp that shows the syncronised time in the background at the same time. So there will be 2 time stamp on that view page with different time clocks. There is no option any where in the mobile app or web browser settings to change the time clock for that view page from what I have tried.

Ken, Dean requested me to reply on his behalf. The current sineoji app on your phone has a bug with android 6.0. He asked you to uninstall the app and download the new patch from google play that was released today. The new update supports android 6.0.
