Dlink, Foscam, VStarCam, Trendnet and Edimax are all okay for me. Not necessary to get HD ones unless you want very precise details (which might not even show up when you are viewing via a mobile phone or small tablet screen).

Note that for online viewing at home via a browser, most cameras run on ActiveX, so without Windows and IE, you might need to use RTSP.

IR is non-ionizing radiation. According to the American Cancer Society, these types of radiation are not known to increase cancer risk.

And I heard EasyN collaborated with Lenova to design and manufacture under Lenova brand. This speaks so much about the company and it's brand name.

Yes, but the IR "invisible heat" is scary on these product. U might not feel it, but not sure if it will have any impact on health.

Last time when I was playing wif a few of these cameras, during rainy days, when every window flogs, U point the camera n if IR is triggered, you will notice that the area which the IR is pointing to, the area is not flog...

But since U say harmless according to the research, I guess its ok, personally I wouldn't really put it too near to a baby

HD ones are only for future-proof i guess IF the mobile network in SG can fully support w/o signs of lagg. Lets hope for the best...

Yesterday collected my MOs, overheard some discussion that a MAC Super Client is in development now. So, MAC Users may soon have VStarcam surveillance over their macs instead of just phones.

Saw on whiteboard got new NVR launching end of this month, but dun see any samples around

Unfortunately, not yet. I was hoping to squeeze some time this weekend, but my wife wanted me to look after the kids as she needs to clear some work.

My 2 VStarCam are still sitting next to my computers and tablets. I've taken them out of the boxes already. But my Sinoeji is still in the box, shrink wrapped.

Most of cameras have that feature. All of current VStarcam have microSD card slot for recording, just need to check specs for the brand/model that you r keen.

Oh yes, not all cameras support audio recording to microsd cards. Vstarcam's camera will only be supporting later once they released this new feature. Only D-Link certain model so far supports it.
