Paralle importing of IP cameras

All these parallel importers really sucks. And it makes me wonder if the genuine authorised distributors will survive after putting all the effort promoting their products and to see the price cutting by these parallel importers sucking up the profits. Some body needs to put up a legislature on this and have government pass a bill on this. Marix may try. I think Marix will make a good politician.

Ok. Managed to dig out some information on the T7837WIP-AR after speaking to the MARIX Sales Team, it is the same T7837WIP but add on with a typical door sensor. So once door is opened during armed status, the camera will sound the siren.

Owners may enable or disable the siren on demand over the supplied hardware "key" or use their mobile to do it.

Thats all the information I gather for now on the new model.

OK, slightly more information on the T7837WIP-AR, it can be coupled with IR sensors as well, not just door sensors.

I might get a chance to do a review on this if I am back in time when their stocks arrive.

PS: They r looking for reviewers to do reviews on the product too.

Hello guys.. How do you all store recordings from these camera?

Currently i have 2x DCS-5222L and 2x panasonic ip camera. They are configured for motion detection and recording into my synology nas. I find the panasonic ones to be more stable. Dlink ones get disconnected every now and then..

Due to series of events happening, I have plan to add 4 more cameras indoor and outdoor. But not sure which other brands is worth buying. Panasonic ones are good as they are POE but too costly :(

Any advice? Thank you

Stick wif panasonic at such. Why save a bit of money n get frustrated? Cost vs frustration, get rid of frustration better.

D-Link disconnect must also know how you set up, if u place panasonic at same position where u had ur d-link using same method of connection, did it disconnect or stay connected?

Need some recommendations from bros here. Had been reading this thread for the past 20 page, can't seems to find what is really suitable.

My usage is just indoor, monitoring maid and kids. My router/modem (free modem from singnet) is not connected to any PC or laptop, and is set-up right beside the tv. Running on singnet fibre.

Requirements:
1) easy to set-up (please note no PC or laptop is connected to my modem)
2) recording into micro sd
3) able to view on iPhone anytime

Optional requirement:
1) speaker on the cam to communicate
2) motion sensor

Please kindly recommend with brand and model, and where to get. Through reading the past almost 20 pages, someone mentioned about lemon set, and I saw brands like vstarcam authorized dealer only sell at challengers, but I also saw people selling in Qoo10, don't wanna get a lemon set.

Thanks in advance!

IntimacyR you wanna to buy from me? i have one vstarcam to sell off. i am thinking to sell off mine. Drop me a PM i delivery over to you. Bought it on impluse, i wanna to use for baby monitoring... end up no so good, my wife prefer got iphone alert kind... she wanna to have alerts on mobile phone if there is any baby cry.....

Or maybe got any bro have phone apps to recommend that have such alerts?

D-Link got audio detection if you want to be alerted via sound. Most baby monitoring are WIFI based for home use.

There is a new firmware upgrade for VStarcam T series. Saw an empty field with clickable box in the SD Recording module. Suspect its the AUDIO Recording.

Seems tat audio recording is available soon.

It is now possible to use a MIFI for VStarcam T Series IP Cameras (Plug and Play). Got a call from MARIX's team that they have tested and ask me to help confirm on my side.

Once a setting change on MIFI, it is possible to use it within the MIFI LAN (wireless) to view the webUI streaming and playback.

Streaming wise, depends on which area you are at, performance of the 3G/4G may differs. So, do expect lags.

:D

Thanks for the offer but I bought 2 sets over the weekend already.

Need help on setting up the wireless connection. Plugging using LAN, no problem but when I set-up wifi connection, the app told me successful, but after plugging out, I cant connect, it will be either connection time out or cam is offline.

BTW, I bought vstarcam T7838WIP and T7837WIP.

Please kindly help me settle this urgently. I thought its gonna be easy to set-up as advertised. :(

Hi,

After you had setup the WIFI, allow camera to reboot, after reboot, then you pull out the LAN cable, and press on screen to reconnect to it, it takes about 5 sec for camera to switch from LAN to WLAN and update the cloud server.

Hope this helps. Do call us at 65623390 for assistance.

Bro, try hard reset n do again. Press hold reset for 10 sec n release. Then hard wired in to set up, when u set up wireless, allow cam to reboot complete before u remove cable. After tat should b ok. Btw, ur wireless on WEP or WPA?

ok. after 1 month of usage, i think i can share more abt my vstarcam. usage is easy to use on mobile. i can do playback on mobile, but is slower on 3G

features lacking to me is record to nas, audio recording, ability to re-arrange my cam in mobile app. slower eye4 cloud surveillance, use VSCAM or super client faster in response.

tried yesterday the new super client, its better tat I can playback microsd card recording from it. but still buggy on listing all my records. but it allows me to change settings in my cam. allows firmware upgrade as well.

so, overall, quite a good product. i like the multi view very much. can see 2 cams concurrently. most products i saw must click to go see live streaming. so tats a plus point for me.

using android, we cannot pinch in/out for zooming. hope this gets updated for us to soon.
