Hi,

Pls drop us an email at support@marix.com.sg for tech support.
Remember to ensure that camera is plugged directly wired to the router,
port forwarding 81 external to internal 81 of the ip address of the camera.
We'll request the S/W engineer to login after receiving your information
and let them try to fix up your camera via remote.

Thanks. It's a bit embarrassing but when I was trying to change the port forwarding on my router to change it from my usual port to 81, I realized that I was only forwarding the TCP ports. Just out of curiosity, I changed it to both TCP and UDP and voila! the web browser access works now. My apologies for the false alarm.

I will still email support@marix.com.sg though because, with access to the web server on the camera, I realize that my firmware is out of date (F/W: 0.1.0.3.151, Web Server: 32.1.0.34) and need to find a download link for the firmware. Thanks

For those who faces problem accessing their webUI (keep refreshing). You can actually do a FULL firmware reflash via MicroSD Card. We will be posting the solution on our blogspot soon. This syptom was reported earlier on some of the Chinese Forums and we are in check with our local customers whom might have this problem.

seems that MARIXSPL is bringing stocks in for H6837WIP liao. Pricing not far from current H6837WI.

I'm still hunting for my 3xZoom camera. Anyone got any good recommendation to view?

I need to set up a few cam (less than 10) to monitor a outdoor area. I would like the live images to be transmitted to a computer (windows). Some qns:
What are the equipment I require besides the ip cam and laptop?
Which outdoor ip cam do you suggest (distance of a few hundred metres)?
Any reliable software that is secure to send/view the images?

I may be wrong.

I think you should be looking at CCTVs instead of IP cams which, of course, cost more.

For outdoor use you'll need reliable devices housed in waterproof casing otherwise they will be damaged easily.

Secondly, wired connection is more relaible than wireless connection if you don't want people to hack into.

Third, CCTVs can give better color, resolution, zoom and reliability over household IP cams.

Lastly, for outdoor use, you'll need IR capability and motion detection especially for the night if you're in surveillance

For software, when you purchse the system you can check with the seller whether they can have secure system for sending/viewing images

You can check out the shop at SL SQ below

Singapore Security surveillance and CCTV security cameras and equipment from Sony, Telexper, Lines, VPON, Panasonic, Pentax, Kowa - Jia Ying Trading, Sim Lim Square

Hope it help

Yes, android apps wise, you need to download from Intelligent Video Surveillance System, select Android > Plug&Play Version

Then, install the application to your phone. Before that, make sure you install the QR Code Reader for your Android.

Happy testing!

H6837WIP is definite a model to look out for this PC Show. I'm sure it will sell well. Good luck and thanks for the demo this afternoon on how easy it is to setup the camera. Hope to hear from you guys soon on zoomable cameras.

Anybody has seen and/or using the DLINK DCS-942L fixed IP cam here? What's the price and where to buy? Thinking of replacing my 9 DLINK fixed IP cams to the mentioned IR type

Hi

Questions on IP Cam Viewer Pro for iPhone/iPad

1) What's the max no. of cameras that can be displayed on a single page on the iPhone/iPad?

2) Any provision to select the video codec like H.264, MPEG4, MJPEG since the DLINK DCS-942L supports all of them?

Thanks

For my phone in portrait position, IP Cam Viewer Pro's matrix vkew can show 18 cameras (3 by 6). In landscape position, it can display 16 cameras (4 by 4). You can also toggle an auto sequence that switches the video to 'cycle' through each camera (in gallery view) after a certain time (sort of like the security cameras).

I don't think you can set individual cameras to use specific encoding mode. However, there is a global system setting in the current version (4.4.8)that allows you to choose experimental h.264 dvr code.

Hi, I am looking for a IP camera to help view my house.
Can recommend a camera based on these details? setup consists of M1 fiber and a d-link router

- must have wireless connection to the camera.
- able to view the camera via web browser
- able to view properly even with lack of lights
- able to mount on a ceiling or against a wall but at a high level

I bought a Dlink IP camera, DSL-932L. My intention is for it to send me snapshots whenever the motion sensor detects movement outside my house, I setup the email settings and it was working well at first.

However, everyday it will stop sending these emails completely in the middle of the day, I have checked it is not due no motion detected. In the setup page, the error was just "can not send email".

I use the Singtel mio wireless router and a yahoo email. Does anyone know of a solution?

VStarcam H6837WI? Got IR feature. Works well with M1 fibre. Mountable,
Wireless-N Support.

I think the DLINK DCS-942L looks like can leh. Read below...somewhere near the end

Print Page - Video recording to SD Card not working?

Although I've just bought one piece and have it tested a while ago I noticed two things

a) the FOV is still not as wide as my existing older DLINK DCS-2120G model. I need to try with an external wide angle lens to see the effect otherwise I'll need to buy more cameras for the same coverage leow. If I'm satisfied with the wide angle lens then I'll proceed with buying additional 8 pcs. Not all situations require wide angle lens though. Long rectangular corrider or kitchen don't require the wide angle lens. It's only those with squarish design like the hall requires it. The price per piece ranges from $179 to $199 since this model just arrives here.

b) its IR is pretty strong within my house....within 5m range. Use of an external IR light (850nm wavelength) inside the house only creates a bright circular spot smaller than the FOV of the camera while the areas outside the spot remain dark. However, use of the external IR light works great in long rectangular corridor/kitchen. FYI, DLINK said the camera's built-in IR lights' wavelength is 820nm. An external wide angle IR light might be the right choice say for use in the hall.

Sorry, but I won't be testing it's recording (video + audio) to SD card as I have a DLINK DVR

:D

Your version is for Android because apple's version is 1.6.8 which I bought yesterday?
