Bought a Sineoji PT492V from Comex and now I regret.

The IR LED doesn't cuts off in day time and It doesn't turns on at night when lights are off.

Still prefer FOSCAM.

Anyone tried out the C1 and C2 from FOSCAM ?

you mean the IR LED is not auto?

you can see the reviews here. if you dont need the pan and tilt features, then can consider this.

using their software or 3rd party ? can share the images in day and nite mode ?

does the IR works automatically ?

You can opt for either their web based or 3rd party - not an issue.

For the IR you can select either operation (auto or manual)

can't really sic because it will show my entire company overview. :o

Bought xiaomi's xiaoyi smart cam (with night vision) from their official taobao store for $36 which includes a 8GB memory card which I thought was a pretty good price. Shipping to SG only cost me an additional $1.50.

Been testing it so far and I can say without a shadow of a doubt, that there is simply no competition if you want a simple, easy to set up ip camera.

It has local storage via microSD, 720p recording, IR night vision, 111 degrees wide angle lens, an intuitive mobile app, 2 way audio, ability to save pictures to your camera roll in real time, motion alerts at custom time intervals (eg. 2200-0800), an activity feed which allows you to quickly view video snippets when motion was detected.

Did I already mention their aggressive pricing at $37? Here are some product shots with sample image quality.

Do you have the link to their store page?

Anyone try to use IP Cam Viewer Lite to view XiaoYi IP Cam ?

Even with the current version of IP Cam Viewer (not the Lite version but the full version) i.e. v5.8.6, I can't find the Xiaomi/XiaoYi driver listed. If it is using some OEM, then can choose other drivers. For example, for my Aztech, I am using Foscam driver.

If I can get my hands on one, I can do some trial and error testing.

Thanks in advance. I also tried EggMan Technology Andriod apps. Worse.. it didn't update for years.

But surprise that IP Cam Viewer Lite have Foscam C1 Driver.

sineoji ipcam

Anyone using Sineoji ipcam's? What's your experience with it viz-a-viz the hardware n software like the Client (PC)?

I bought the PT495V at Comex2015 mostly becoz it accepts 128GB sdcard for recording, but found the Client sw poor in not being able to download wirelessly to the PC. It only dl one file for every new startup of the Client sw...I found this amazing for times like this when technology is so advance and....!?!!

The ipcam is not listed in IP Camera Viewer Lite, if not I would try it and see.

IR LED ... fail to auto detect the environment light. Auto is uesless, worse than my 5 yrs old FOSCAM when Dr Arh setup this thread.

Download the video/images from SD Card to PC is a headache.. lucky I dun need that.

It is available in IP CAm View Lite.

Make : Acromedia
Model : Acromedia IN-009

Thanks, Jason, absolutely agree about the ir led n auto. Me too, I'm regretting it now, should hv gone with the Dlink 5222 which I had considered initially.

And thanks much for the ipcam view lite info. In your opinion is it worthwhile to use that vs the sineoji app.?

sineoji u haven't use.. must try .. then experience the stupidity of the apps.

1) load time is long
2) Search for camera fail, even on same subnet mask
3) Can't turn on or turn off the IR in the apps.
4) can't do the motion detection setting on apps
5) from office fibre to home fibre network, it is not smooth. it is lagging.

IMHO, use 3rd party apps is better.

Yes, I've experienced all that too with the sineoji app. I'll try out the 3rd party app. Thanks again.

That's why I highly recommend the xiaoyi camera to you guys over here. Save yourself the headache of these subpar hardware which was rushed to market for a quick cash grab.

The xiaoyi at $37 streams extremely smoothly, literally takes just 2 taps to view the stream, has an ambient light sensor which automatically turns on IR when it's dark, able to set motion detection at specific time intervals (eg. 10pm - 6am) within the app. To sum it all up, it just works.

Give it a try and you guys will see why they've sold millions of these so far. You're literally paying just $37 for something that should easily cost $100+
