hi guys. am going in jul. is it recommended for me to bring usd over to change or sgd?

if usd, where do you guys change your usd in singapore? arcade there ah?

Sure or not?? Change SG dollars to US dollars, then go to Korea to change to Won?? I find this absurdly wrong in every way.

Work your sums and you will realize changing to usd in sg and then to won offer you a slightly better rate... difference is not too great unless you are changing loads.

世合 money changer that ipsw123 recommended. Opposite the Chinese Embassy at Myeongdong.

BTW the cheapest market o brownies are also sold at Myeongdong.

the money changer beside the chinese ambassy was about 1018 per usd and 808 per sgd and 300 per Ringgit 2 days ago..1010 per use and 800 per SGD are shops that did not even change their rate during my 10 days in myeongdong...everyday same rate waiting to carrot us

U found it wrong because u think that converting twice will make u lost more money..but the fact is in Korea, USD is stronger..and Sgd to Korea won is unfavorable..so if u change to usd in sg then to won in Korea..the rate will still be higher than from sgd to won directly in sg..but as I left Korea, the USD rate is depreciating very rapidly..from 1024 to 1016 in a week..so the deciding factor is how strong is Usd to won in Korea and how weak is USD to SGD..nevertheless, Sgd to win in myeongdong was fluctuating from 805-810..my friend who was at raffles arcade today told me rate is 1Sgd=802won

I changed sgd to usd at the arcade then to won in myeongdong and it is better to change usd.

Highest rate ytd was
1sgd=809won

1usd=1022won

The rate I changed at arcade for USD was 1.253sgd=1usd
Therefore if we use sgd to usd then to won
The rate is around 815
Given by 1022won/1.253=815

If want to change, look out for the Chinese ambassy which is a money changer behind Noon mall..there is a stretch of money changer and just look around..there is one call DA SHI Guan and one more below which give a higher sgd rate..the rest of the money charger are crap

it is in myeongdong...beside NOON Square..take exit 5, walk up, avoid the stair that sell socks, u will see mac on the opposite side, walk straight down till u see EDIYA coffee, turn right and walk all the way down u would see the money changer.

Hi thanks all for the help! managed to find the money changer and the usd rate is 1021won today... but I used 1506sgd to get 1200usd back in arcade in sg. . so got earn or diff?

i would say it is not really worth it if you are changing a small sum of money. The difference is negligeable
