also prefer to change first in SG and get ready before going, truth is unless your intending to change a very big amount, the rates dont really amount to much in the end for all the effort of travelling to find the moneychanger etc.

It sounds like withdrawing in Korea has better rates than exchanging in Singapore? How much is the bank processing fee? I always feel safer changing in SG then go overseas though

Yup scb is standard chartered. Im not sure abt the bank chgs as my card is priority banking so overseas withdrawal is free for me. U may check with the bank or online. The last day i managed to find the atm as scb atm is very hard to find, rates is getting better, @ 822. I changed in singapore at 801.6 few days before i fly.

how much u intending to change? really worth it meh for the trouble, since travelling to the moneychanger in Korea also need to spend transport fees unless its in a very convenient location

Difference of 800krw vs 810krw exchange rate is only 10krw

10krw x Singapore $2000 = 20,000 krw

20,000 krw / 810 krw = Sing $ 24

Worth the time and effort to save sing $24 for changing krw with Singapore $2000?
