PSA Only.

For those looking for decently made shoes, there are a more than a few pairs of Made-In-Japan Regal shoes and loafers priced from $89-189 thereabouts (already heavily discounted) at the Urban360 stores.

Pictured here, this pair is probably the best, at $189. Nice shaped. Blake/Rapid welt.

A large number of of the Japanese RTW makers have their shoes made in Laos / China. Regal included.
Not that there's anything wrong with that, but just so you know.
Objectively, at that price, there might still be value in buying them.

Quote for future reference!

Based on experience of many here, myself included, the more you buy the more you lack! :s13::s13:

Remember this formula:

X = N+1

where N equals the number of pairs of shoes that you actually own, and X equals the number of pairs of shoes that you want to own.

Hahah how will your shoes spoil if you take good care of them! =D

Sent from the exploded Death Star using GAGT
So in that case I will stop at 3 pairs of dress shoe! (Hopefully)

Meaning you can own that pair of shoes 12 hours later! Stand by your credit card!

There will be no ending, trust me. lol. I thought I would stop after getting a pair of Meermin....
No money! So not anytime soon! That one pair of Cordovan will cost more than 3 pairs of Loake 1880 lol!

This is just me, but if I'm shelling out > $1000 on a pair, I'd either go with Enzo calf and keep the change, or top up some more and go with Meccariello.
After wearing them, my navy shell wholecuts are probably one of my biggest regrets.

Wah that price/value that bad for Carmina shell wholecut ah.
Cause my first 2 pairs of dress shoe are just Loake 1880, so currently only research around that price range, never venture to see much of mid-top end range brands.

Will take time in 2016 to slowly research more! :s12:
Lots of great shoe photos from your Instagram, just followed yesterday!

These 2 Meccariello, wow!
But side laces too adventurous for me now I guess...?

As long as you like them.... anything goes. If it's for work, depending on how conservative your environment is, you may want to go for something more classic.

Nope. The test shoes are for me to keep. The fit was already good. With just minor adjustments to be made.
You can also specify the design of your test shoes, meaning you can have 2 totally different pairs of shoes. The only rule is, if your final shoe is an oxford, your test shoe must be an oxford, derby to derby, monk to monk. And so on.
His test shoes are GYW. But still exceedingly good quality.
They cost approximately 400 euros currently.

I mean, a burgundy wholecut is a good choice for footwear. That's definitely cool. But I somehow feel that near doubling up on price doesn't really make sense. Just because it's shell?
I'm not a shell fan, and this is just my opinion. I'm not an authority by far. Whatever the case is, however you choose to spend your money, as long as you're happy with what you've got, it's all good.

So how much total till you get the final shoe?
I saw on his blog he used mainly boxcalf for shoes.

I see, yeah I thought so too ($600 vs $1100), but maybe that's their signature/speciality on cordovan.

But since you said there are much more choices if I'm going to spend at $1000 price range, I can definitely do more to research!

Thanks for info by the way!
