Anyone care to discuss about socks for your "working shoes"? I like Uniqlo.

Cheap, plus they hold their shape well, unlike fellow Jap retailer Muji. Could have better patterns and colors though.

Hankering for black socks with skull and crossbones motifs because I work in a semi-creative industry and can get away with it.

Uniqlo is one-size for Asian feet meaning if you have larger than average feet they don't work for you.

I don't use them for that reason.

I have the following:

1) Marks and Spencer - muted and 'dated' design and respectable quality
2) Happy Socks - funky design but quality is not fantastic
3) Uniqlo - muted but nice design, quality is average
4) Corgi - quality casual socks, interesting design and good quality
5) Viccel - nice colours, and good quality... i only have the plain colours.
6) Bresciani - quality feel and texture, excellent comfort. expensive stuff...

Viccel is excellent especially if like me you've had issue with elastic holding your socks up.

I've had pantherella, uniqlo and viccel. The latter is by far my favourite, although they don't have much in terms of designs.

How does the higher priced socks hold up though?

I do ALOT of walking around and Uniqlo seem to hold up ok. Will the finer materials of say, Pantherella's socks be able to take my abuse?

Ok just went to the Viccel site.

Nice array of solids, especially the maroon and magenta hues.
