How does the higher priced socks hold up though?

I do ALOT of walking around and Uniqlo seem to hold up ok. Will the finer materials of say, Pantherella's socks be able to take my abuse?

Wouldn't reccomend pantherella. Viccel makes some very fine thin summer weight dress socks which hold up pretty well. I walk about 5km/day.

They're really a world of a difference from Uniqlo socks.

Have tried happy socks but my feet really feels bad after each day.

Wool is great. Natural anti-odor, good wicking properties. Worst is cotton.
I wear bamboo fibre ones. Similar to wool, but cheaper

I wear Darn Tough heavy socks regardless when I'm wearing dress shoes or boots. Comfort comes first for me.

I like Uniqlo too but wish got more striking designs. Otherwise buy when go overseas Seoul or BKK, about $1 one pair.

I liked the ones they sell at Llyr but.. $40/3 pairs ON SALE

Uniqlo socks are very value. They got very nicely textured single bold colour socks

If you want striking then Happy Socks are pretty standout

If you want atas + colour then Pantherella or Marcoliani

At that budget and assuming u don't have a rotation of office shoes (i.e worn 5 days a week, every work week), you are not likely to get anything that lasts beyond 2 years, unless your work lifestyle involves really minimal walking.

Hush puppies, pedro, archules, brands in Robinsons are some options I can think off..

aldo aren't any more durable than the above brands but will go for above $200

If you aren't particular how your office shoes look - Bata rubber flat sole, grain leather (looking) black loafers. Cheap, comfortable, relatively lasting.

$13USD for OTC socks at their lightest weight. Mid calf ones are cheaper and they have socks in heavier weights as well.

I must say viccel are a cut above. I wear pantherella wool/cotton mix and find that they feel a bit plasticky after I've sweated a bit. Uniqlo's socks feel a bit like a wet bag.

For viccel the socks keep my feet relatively dry.

I hope that chap who asked about buying a pair from them w/o discount code didn't already pull the trigger!

Guess for the regulars, there's only that many pair of loake/barkers that one would want to get (which are the only 2 main brands that Robinsons shoes offer)... but good for folks to venture and get their first pairs with these periodic discount codes!
