Thanks arc! Loden or grey suede black calf plain captoe?
Would you be interested in the sides being like this instead of straight line across the sides?

Plain captoe does make it look more elegant.
I'm waiting for the swatches to be available at Lusso so that I can put the color combi side by side for a better look at how it would turn out.
I like this...........
Where do you guys buy your shoe trees? Bought from TB and they seems too big even when I choose 39/40 for my size 40 shoes.
I'll be totally honest.
I respect the man....
But J Fitz designs nowadays have been bordering on the ridiculous.

I guess that's his style.. He has not been shy in sharing his bias towards exploring different colours and materials in his designs. Next level stuff.
Not really my cup of tea either.. the button shoe if it happens will be my "boldest" pair yet, but probably mild by most other standards.
So to summarize the GMTO AIAD and I have in mind:
Model: Button shoe (not boots)
Design: Plain captoe balmoral style with plain stitching.
Sides will be like pic A below and not the straight across kind and there will not be broguing.
Color: Black calf for bottom, Loden suede for top. There will be a centre line where the lace will be as with all button boots but we will use the same suede material so there will not be a contrast there like what you see in pic B.
Sole: Preference for single sole with topy. If anyone has any thoughts, let me know.
Last: Likely the 946

Pic B:

Pic B pretty much sums up the design of the shoe sans the contrasting centre line on the suede part and the seam that runs on the side of the shoe.
Anyone out that that is keen, let me know!
I'm planning to run it through Lusso if we get enough people on board.
Would I be able to determine my 946 last size at Lusso? Don't want to play a guessing game on it.
