@RayeAng I've skipped CS Jumper Boot and went for the Bryon Boot by Vass instead.
Too lovely to miss this.
Hope you got something during this Black Friday Sales.

This boot damn kilat.
I haven't bought a Vass in a long time, yet caved in on this.
Jeeve's price is actually very reasonable for this make-up. I strongly recommend that you boot guys consider it.
If you decide to get it, can try your luck and combine shipping to one Singapore address to save some money.

Does this GMTO come with shoe trees? I like the grain on the leather.

Yes the grain does look really nice.
It's the same "English grain" that G&G uses (refer to the Glencoe in grain on SkoaB's site). Sourced from AA Crack.

Yes it does include trees.

Bro Urban, their RTW comes with shoe trees according to their website. Don't see it listed with trees for this boot but I've dropped Tom an email on this nevertheless and will let you know when he replies.

You sir, have exactly the same dilemma as I had since last night..

But decided to go grain for boot and that goyser stitch looks good.

Enzo etrusco boot on the other hand is really hard to resist at this price point during sale.

If you are intending on wearing boots with office attire, then brogues are definitely out, and so is that boot.

Urban is right.
Probably the only choice you have, is a pair of balmoral boots, either in black, or very dark brown. No brogueing. And based on your requirement for suitability with monsoon weather, the soles will have to be single dainite.

thanks for the advice.

But how are they military grade? Do they have a high level of waterproof/water resistance to wet weather?

Will the sides crack easily for wear and tear? And hot weather?

Is normal kiwi good enough for the shoes?

The most water resistant construction method is norwegian. Which will not be suitable for office wear.
The next best thing is hand welting.

I have no idea what you mean by military grade. If you are using SAF boots as a reference point, well, they are quite honestly very badly made.

No, and no.

Yes.

I convert the prices from GBP to SGD, its around $700. Where do you folks usually get cheaper price boots for the same good quality?

Here you go. Similar quality. Lower price. Rubber Dainite Sole. Presentable in office. No issues during rainy days. All shoes mentioned are goodyear welted. MilSpec wise on par. Take care of the shoes and it'll last longer than your saf pair.

Urban shared with you a very good link, the maker is decent and for a very good price.

Apart from that.... this whole price / good quality thing.... took me approximately 2 years, about 100 pairs of shoes, trying numerous makers, and doing a lot of reading .... to have a good grasp on. A good answer will be lengthy, but I am feeling a little tired now.

The Loakes that were recommended, is also a good choice.

Looked at both herring and robinsonsshoes, and unfortunately (or fortunately) couldn't find anything that would suit me. Strange feeling this, a mix of disappointment and thankfulness all at one go. hehe.
