Really, F&S OEM their shoes? I'm surprised on reading this.

Looking at their loafers in their casual range.

Where are u planning to get them from? AFAIK, their shoes are OEM including by AS and C&J. Prices will reflect the quality expectation, relative to English brands.

Anything specific abt f&s that you like n cannot find in other brands? For that kind of price I'm sure you can find other alternatives.

They've just had a bunch of split toes 2-3 months back. N Derby gmto as well on skoak. Limited? I don't think that way. It's just a matter of where to look and whether you're willing to pay for it.
So far I see from their website only a few. I'm looking for plain toe derby, calf leather, non suede hopefully brown / burgundy.

Do you have any websites to introduce?

Edit: rubber sole would be a bonus.

Yup. Every reputable maker has it. Your demands ain't sophisticated.
Ascot Shoes. A Fine Pair Of Shoes. Gentlemensfootwear. Loake. Skoaktiebolaget. Carmina. Even Meermin has plain toe Derby with rubber soles.

Found what you want but leather sole, go ahead and slap a piece of Vibram on it with the local cobblers.

Can't find what you want? Go MTO.

Have a budget? State it and the bros can recommend.

I cancelled my loake order due to shipping issues, at first I wanted to hoot loake 711 or 771. Shipping too long so cancelled.

I'm looking for something like this https://www.skoaktiebolaget.se/collections/enzo-bonafe/products/enzo-bonafe-cordovan-plain-toe-derby

The cordovan version is 1k the suede version is 600 or so iirc.
The leather is cordovan so it's way too pricey for me. I can't seem to find a non imprint grain / non suede version.

So do you any website have that has enzo bonafe plain toe derby with a burgundy / brown calf leather, Hopefully with rubber sole?

I'd rather not pay extra and gmto, if can't find I'll probably just go back to loake or look into trickers / Alden dovers.

Hi all shoe gurus..

I bought the "GET COLUMBUS" shoe cleaner from tangs today. As it was quite cheap, I'm just wondering if it is safe to use on my Loakes 1880. Will it damage the leather in any way?

Thanks in adv.

I think I have given up on Txture.

After I thought my first MTO issue with them few months ago, sending a wrong order boots, which in term I don't have a nice boots to wear for my wedding. (Replacement boots come weeks after my wedding)

Nevertheless I decided to give them another try, ordered a Penny Loafer for myself, and a Victory Boots for my wife.

And to no surprise, when I received the 2 pairs of shoes today, the boots was out of specs.
2 of the specs wrong are:
1) Wanted Cuban type heels, but came as a Regular type heels
2) Wanted Gusseted tongue, but came as non-Gusseted tongue

I really have no idea, how could they make so much mistake on such frequency for a MTO order. I start to feel that the Victory boots they sent over was a stock boots, rather than a MTO.

Totally not interested to get a replacement boots and all the waiting time and lack of response, hoping to get a refund asap.

The only way shoe makers makes the shoes that you desire is TO MTO.

Otherwise, keep checking websites for you cuppa tea.

If you're comparing Enzo with Trickers / Aldens, that only means you're interested in designs.

Regarding the websites, subscribe to em and see what the new season offers dude.

How long was the shipping?

https://www.skoaktiebolaget.se/coll.../products/carlos-santos-derby-in-braga-patina

https://www.carminashoemaker.com/mens-derby-shoes/plain-toe-blucher-531-brown

Don't want to wait then go Carmina store and buy straight away.

Like I said, it's where you look and most importantly how much you are willing to pay. There's plenty of options out there so don't say you can't find it.

The only ones I can think of that 1) no shipping/waiting required, 2) have the design you want, 3) low cost, 4) have rubber sole are Pedro, Aldo and Bata.

Test it on an inconspicuous corner and you will have your answer. Otherwise read the label, instructions and warnings 1st.

Yes. I was only interested in design, since enzo was hyped a lot here so I'm looking into enzo if not it wouldn't have crossed my mind. That's why I'm asking around about enzo.

Thanks, finally a link to a shoe. The shipping was ridiculous for my loake's case. The shoe is not even dispatched after 1.5 weeks. Dispatch. I understand overseas takes 2-3 weeks, but 1.5 weeks still no dispatch is quite ridiculous. Didn't mention I need it to be here right away, but mto that takes 6 weeks or so I'll probably pass.

Enzo shoes in calf generally cost about 700 odd.
Speaking of an MTO, a sleek, dressy, brown, plain toed derby is a gap in my collection and something I'd be interesting in doing as a GMTO.
I would prefer a 3 eyelet version in a similar design as the one you linked. We can work together if you wish.
A GMTO would negate the upcharge.
Are you in a rush for it?

Sorry to hear that. It really sucks when you get an MTO not to spec. Sometimes, some outfits are just ... not very organised. It's a risk we all need to live with when we deal with online purchases. Especially if there might be a language barrier.

BTW, your IG really has a lot of eye candy, and I'm not just talking about shoes. LOL.

I 2nd the Carlos Santos recc from arcfire. For a tiny top up, can choose the color you want. Altho I do like the default braga a lot.

Yeah...
I can't believe their response though, was chatting with them to ask for refund, they do acknowledge indirectly they do wrong order.
BUT, they told me refund only allow if wrong colour or size. In my mind I was like wtf, this is a MTO shoes, if specs is wrong and you don't allow refund unless wrong colour or size it's really ridiculous.

Not sure how this is going to end, but if today's talk with their CS is not going to solve this issue, I will hope Paypal can escalate it.

Haha thanks on the IG part! :D

Good luck with your refund request. They should Man up and give you your money back.

You might be a bit exasperated by now, but I think that while they may not offer a refund, at minimum they should offer you an expedited re-make to spec.
But in any case, good luck with the PayPal case dispute. This might be a viable option to get back your money.
