The Chancery last in an F fitting (as per Overton) is similar in fit properties to the Capital last. It has a slightly rounder toe shape than Capital, but is otherwise similar in length etc.

Newbie on dress shoes

Hi all, I am a newbie in terms of dress shoes and I am looking for a good quality yet decently priced dress shoes. ( Something like Seiko of the shoe world). Can be oxford or loafers but I prefer Loafers.
Looking for around $200 and below. Can it be done? Any pros can advise please? I saw some at Robinsons call "Florence", it seems well made and relatively comfy and on sale for $1xx. I also saw another brand call Straits establishment which is about $22x. Is it worth it to get?

When I went by 2 weeks ago they said their factory was in Vietnam.

Has anyone made shoes at Jesse & Son before in Thailand?
Curious to see how they compare to Ed Et Al in terms of creasing and hold up.

I have to agree creasing will always to there. Fit and how we walk and care will affect shoe.

Keeping fit and design of the shoe out of the discussion, there are 2 main variables to creases. 1 is the leather and 2 is the person (or rather the way he/she walks).

I am fairly certain that my experience with EEA creasing is due to the former, based on the creasing I get with my other shoes.

Other than Loake, is there any other brand I can try locally and buy? Price range can be 100 dollar more than Loake's Aldwych.

Does anyone has experience with Yanko's leather penny loafers? I'm looking to get a leather penny loafer in brown/burgundy for casual wear.

Are there any other good recommendations for the range $300 - $450? Thank you!

Not sure about leather but I bought a pair of suede loafers a week ago and I love it. Just bought an suede oxford today at seamless bespoke for a steal of $198 :D

Oh wow, the suede oxford is from Yanko too? Yes, I saw the pair of suede loafers you had bought last week. It looks great! In terms of the last and colour.

Yes Yanko, same 915 last and comes with rubber sole which was from their weekend sale. They still have 4 rows of designs on sale, if they are your size it will be great buys.
