Slightly tighter or slightly looser

Hi bros, I recently bought a loafers from CNES and it is super tight on me but I was told that It would stretch out overtime. As one of my foot is bigger, it cause alot of discomfort. But if i up a size, it seems a bit loose when I walk and my smaller foot would come up abit. I am thinking if i should get the bigger size instead for the comfort and also I can simply put in more insoles to make sure I fit better. What do yall think I should do?

Please advise...

Well, JFP is made by Andres Sendra, who also make for Norman Vilalta RTW, and Ramon Cuberta RTW. The overall product will be similar to the above 3 makers you stated more or less.

I would have skip that pair and look for something else perhaps with another brand/make. Loafers you cannot ‘adjust’ and have to fit snug as it does not have laces.

Used to have a pair which I have used insole to fill the volume but it is no where close to my recent Yanko which fit perfectly.

Shall go change it up a size then or should just try monkstrap instead?

This is my bunion swelling up just after 5mins of wear....

I am thinking of getting it exchange to this instead as I worry maybe I just cannot fit CNES loafers. But I still want the casual look and Idk if this kinda look is okay in sg?

Just to add, material specifications can differ even though they're from the same factory. Especially the outsoles, so if you're particular about those it's a point of consideration.

This looks bad but are you sure they will exchange for you?

I must say that is great service

I personally knows the owner so might be the reason why. But do u think it’s better to have bigger than to have that pain? I am still in the shop so I can stick to that pain if you think it’s better..

Shoes are not meant to cause hurt to you :)

So yes choose a bigger pair or another model which fit you better

Anyone has any idea about Rubinacci loafers? They look really nice to me but looks like rubber soles.

3 pairs

1) Brown balmoral oxford with straight captoe. No brogueing. This will function as the cornerstone of your shoe wardrobe. Same functionality as a conventional brown gooseneck captoe oxford, but I have always found balmoral oxfords particularly elegant. And it'll be a different design compared to the conventional black captoe oxford.

2) Black captoe oxford. Well, most Singaporean men still find that they want a pair a black shoes. Nothing wrong with that.

3) Adelaide oxford. Brogued. Brown. Just to add variety to the collection. Adelaides are a very balanced design imo.

If extended to 5-8 pairs

4) A "dress" chukka. Dark brown. 3 eyelets. Sleek last. Topied sole. Incredibly versatile. To wear with jeans, on travels (because you can wear it with casual and formal wear, reducing number of shoes to pack). And the topy allows you to wear it in rain and mildly wet weather.

5) A dress derby. Also dark brown. Smooth calf. 2 or 3 eyelets. Single leather sole. For days that you want a formal pair of shoes but oxfords bore you.

6) Brown double monks. Just for variety and for days you are just too irritated for laces.

7) Loafers in brown suede or calf. I prefer penny or string. Tassel loafers might be a little "dandy" for some. Just for dress down days, shorts, jeans.

8) A chunky ba***rd. Brown suede or grained calf, dainite soles, derby, semi or full brogue. For bad weather dress down days.

Thundermarch and others, read and re-read all of your responses, got it, thanks for the really useful advice.

Almost the same question but this time for a dress down office where jeans, cotton trousers, fleece and polo shirts are standard. What would you recommend us to buy to start our shoe collection for this environment?;
  1. just 3 pairs
  2. 5-8 pairs

Intrigued ..............:)
