Carmina trees are not lasted. But their rear portion is much slimmer and sleek than the usual culprits from taobao/ woodlore.

I personally only get branded trees if they are lasted and i use the taobao cedar green trees (first post has link) on everything else, even Carminas simpsons shoes.

But up to u really if u think the sleeker carmina rear portion makes a diff. Ymmv

Loakes may be an option too. You can try the size n I think there will be sizes available during sales...

If the ringgit continues to stay weak/weaken further, can seriously consider purchasing Loake from PLal. They carry an extensive range. Do your own research on the specific models, fit and size 1st though.

Now maybe a good time before they adjust prices upwards due to weak currency.

Actually no budget la. Just looking for value. I mean if a pair cost 2k and can last forever, why not? But if a pair of pedro $120 but like **** cheap also useless

Regardless $120 or $2K shoes if worn everyday w/o rotation and no shoe care regime practised, I don't think the $2K shoes will last much longer (if at all) than $120 shoes. Even if they did last longer, it would most definitely not be proportionate to the price difference.

Never bought the argument about more expensive shoes being more durable as the primary or critical advantage over cheaper shoes, though I still continue to favour relatively more expensive shoes (by my own humble standards e.g. Loake which may not even be entry level-worthy for some)for other reasons :D

Yes, the exchange rate left me thinking whether i should get a black toe cap oxford from Carmina or Loake 1880 (from Plal shoes)

Loake 1880 only $300+ from the Plal shop.. Very affordable, good alternative to ordering Carmina online which cost about $500 now due to exchange rate. sad I don't have business there and no time to go KL for vacation..

Suggest u try this Loake. Belongs to their 1880 range. Soft calf leather toecap Oxford. Comfortable after runs in. Plus have your size 12G!

Will be less than S$400 after less VAT. Alternatively, if u wait a while, can get 20% discount.
